Okay so obviously the boys don't really think this way, but it was fun to try to get inside their minds. These will all cover different times in the brothers' lives…hopefully each one makes sense. I wrote multiple poems but they are not supposed to be related; just on the same page. Enjoy!

Thoughts of a Winchester

You cannot trick me;

I see you inside and out.

When sorrow overtakes your eyes

The most salient thing I can do

Is let you suffer,

Then speak my mind.

Brother,

What is it you need?

Tell me of your discontent

And I will acquiesce.

Sam, you are different

I'm nothing like you

I cannot tell your lies

From the things that are true

But you long for my help

At least I pray that you will

There must be some form of remorse

That you feel when you kill

Sam, I'm your brother

This we never can change

I will try to relate

When you're acting so strange

And so I'll fight the slumber

For you cannot sleep

As you face the darkness

Your company I'll keep

The taste of bittersweet crimson…

And I'm laying on ice,

Tingling with the magnificent chill of pain.

I hold out my outstretched hand…

And let it pool with an effervescent gleam,

A prelude to my demise.

Seemingly dressed in shadows

Dark and undefined

Creeping into alley ways

Fall in step behind

Wait in somber patience

Lack of beat of heart

Taking hold of innocents

Constantly false start

Forging as it's natural

Ostensibly well-kept

Begging for the rain to come

No faltering in step

A waiting contradiction

Absent peace of mind

Slight of altercation

Unflinching when it's time

Delightfully unpleasant

Crude to say the least

Full to top with insults

When you become a beast

These aren't our walls

This is not our home

We're in temporary storage

It makes us alone

No neighbors to bother

No yard to be kept

We know that we'll never

Want to come back
