It all happened in a flash. One minute I was playing then I was being mauled by our family dog. It wasn't a pretty sight. Here was cuts and blood all over my body. When our dog, Dusty stopped I was crying and bleeding all over. My parents called the Ambulance and took me away.
I made process in hospital. I didn't talk to anybody because I didn't want to let anyone know how I was feeling. I was sad and angry all the time and when my family visited me they told me they told me they were going to put Dusty down. I started crying and sobbing. I loved Dusty but I was still hurting from his attack.
When It was the day our family drove to the Vet. Before the needle was injected I whispered to Dusty "Goodbye Dusty, I'll miss you." I held his paw when the Vet injected the needle. I could hear his heartbeat slowly fade and his paw became still and heavy. That was the day I promised myself I will never let anyone die if I could help it.
"Coming Zane?" asked Aster
"I'll be there in a second Aster." I said my narrowed eyes watering with sadness
"I'm sorry Dusty…"
