Red…
That's what he only sees…
He grinned manically, crimson red eyes full of bloodlust, as the blood of his fallen opponents dripped from his razor-sharp and lethal claws.
It smells so magnificent…
The scent of blood…
The scent of fear…
The scent of pain…
He, then, leisurely licked the freshly split blood from his blood-covered hands, savoring the marvelous metallic taste.
"…nu…sha!"
His furry white ears twitched slightly above his head at the somewhat familiar, but faint, sound.
What was that…?
"In…ya…!"
There it was again…
How strange…
He turned around to see a female… a female human, his keen nose tells him… running unhesitatingly towards him, arms wide open as if wanting to attack.
A threat…?
No…
A prey…?
No…
He sniffed the air…
This scent…
So familiar…
So sweet…
So nice…
He wouldn't mind drowning in it for eternity…
No… not at all…
Slowly, but surely, bloodthirsty red faded into perplexed and relaxed amber as that phenomenal scent consumed him whole… both soul and body…
"Wha…?"
He looked down and was met with a mob of raven black snuggling desperately into his red haori.
"Wrench?"
"Inuyasha!" came the relieved gasp as sapphire blue met golden amber.
It was quickly followed by a 'Sit!' from the female and a loud thud from the male as he was pulled towards the unwelcoming ground unwillingly by his cursed rosary.
He muttered curses at the feeling of the familiar pain.
She smiled fondly at him… at his amber eyes…
Everything was back to normal… or as normal as it can get with them…
But they both know that this won't last forever…
No… not at all…
In another place, in another time, red would once again replace amber. Gradually, through time, red shall be the only color left and amber shall never resurface anymore…
