This one has been on my mind for a while. (Okay, more like half the day, but it's just bugging me to be written!) It's a story about The Tomb Robber's childhood, and what made him become so evil and sadistic; sort of an inner look at his relationship with his father.
Otogi: And what inspired you to write this story? ::smirks evilly::
::glares at Otogi:: Shush you. Don't you have some few hundred fan girls to attend to?
Otogi: O.O you wouldn't.
Oh, yes I would. ::whistles and hundreds of fan girls come rushing in::
Otogi: ::starts to run away:: YOU ARE SO CRUEL! ::Otogi is glomped by fan girls:: NOOOOOOOOOOO! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO YOUR FAVORITE BISHONEN?!
^_^ Well now that we have that settled . . . Oh crap! ::whistles again and Otogi fan girls leave, depressed:: Otogi, do the disclaimer.
Otogi: She ::gasps:: doesn't. . . own ::pants:: YuGiOh. . . ::faints::

YounenInnocence is a very delicate thing. One small stain and almost all of it is taken away from us, only a small bit remains. However, we cannot always tell that it is there.
Unfortunately not all of us get to enjoy our innocence for very long.
Some get to enjoy their innocence for a long time, until they reach their mid teens even. Others have it stolen from them during childhood. When they hardly know the shadows of the world, when they hardly know who they are or where they are.
Innocence is a very delicate thing. Once it's been tainted it is useless to us, and it seems that it was never there in the first place.
When that happens a pure darkness is created a darkness that craves for nothing but revenge and blood. This darkness will stop at nothing to accomplish what it wants. It will do anything, anything, to gain vengeance over the one that caused its pain. Possibly even destroy the world.
So what happens when this darkness is created?
Isn't the answer obvious?
No?
We're all screwed.
The only thing you can do when this darkness is created is pray that it doesn't come after you, or pray for a quicker death if it already has.
Is there a way to reverse the theft of the pure innocence, you ask?
How the hell should I know? I still have a small remnant of my innocence.
. . . It may be possible though. There's a small chance that it may happen, that the darkness may find light and gain its innocence back.
Keyword being "small".
In other words, don't get your hopes up. You're still screwed.
Why?
Because the darkness that is currently alive has been around for one thousand years. {A}
Yes and at the rate it's causing chaos and destruction now, the world will end in five days. {B}
You're amusing you know that? I just told you that nothing can stop this darkness yet you still run and lock your little doors hoping that it will keep you safe.
Maybe you should know how this darkness was created so that you don't end up creating the next.

::irk:: That was horrible. I can do so much better. . . I think. . . I need to find some fresh new inspiration.
Explanations-
{A} - ::sweat drop:: I can never remember if the Tomb Robber has been around for 1000 years or 5000 years or ::insert some other number of years here::
{B} – That bit about the world ending in 5 days has something to do with a seafood restaurant my friend told me about. I have no clue what the world ending in 5 days has to do with seafood, cuz she won't tell me. ::pouts:: She says I have to go there to understand it. ::sulks:: I'm never going to go there though. I HATE SEAFOOD! I nearly cried when my family had lobster for dinner. Yes I know I am pathetic.
Yeah, erm, well there you have it. The prologue. Uh, I hope I'm doing ok so far. . .
I have no clue if anyone has done this sort of thing before, I mean I haven't seen anyone write a fic about the Tomb Robber's relationship with his Otousan.
Oh yeah, that brings up another question. Anyone knows what the Tomb Robber's actual name is, or should I just call him Bakura? Or maybe I could create one of my "oh so wonderful" Japanese names for him! ::ish being sarcastic::
Yeah, uh, well review.
Younen – Childhood in Japanese. (Or at least according to my online Japanese-English/English-Japanese dictionary. And it's not always right. . . so yeah. . .)
