Do You Still Love Me Daddy?

10 Years Later

Delta stared at Eleanor, who was now around the age of 16. Hard to believe it has been ten years since they had last been together. Ten years since the physco Lamb made him shoot himself. Ten years since he had failed her as a father.

She looked at Delta with a mix of sadness and happiness. Eleanor stood there in front of him, fidgeting in her Big Sister outfit. She had just rescued him. Finally, Eleanor broke the eerie yet familiar silence Rapture now held.

" Daddy do you still love me?" Eleanor asked, tears in her eyes, "Since you are free now……"

Eleanor was referring to the mental conditioning that he was now free of. The mental conditioning all Big Daddies had to go through so they would love their Little Sisters and protect them with their lives. When Sofia Lamb nearly killed Eleanor by suffocating her with a pillow it broke the mental conditioning. Now the love was gone, or so Eleanor thought.

Suddenly, as if on cue, the speakers that littered the dying Rapture came to life. They blared a familiar song that both Delta and Eleanor knew. It was one of Sander Cohen's works. In fact, it was the same music that they had first danced to. (See FatherDaughter Dance).

Delta extended his hand to Eleanor and she slowly took it. Tears rolled down her face, at first they were of sadness, but now they were of joy. She removed her helmet and placed it gently on a nearby table. Eleanor put her feet on top of Delta gigantic boots as he led their second dance together. They swayed with the music gracefully. She giggled and held her father tightly. Even with the mental conditioning gone, Delta still loved her like a daughter, and Eleanor still loved him like a father.

Eleanor jumped off his boots and held her arm in the air and said," Spin me Daddy."

He took her arm and gently spun her around. Even with the armor of the Big Sister, Eleanor looked like an angel to Delta. As the song ended he bowed his head to her while she did her best to curtsey.

Delta then unscrewed his helmet from his head and for the first time revealed his face, well at least on his own free will. He put the helmet next to Eleanor's and faced his beloved daughter. She looked upon him in wonder.

Delta had short, messy black hair and a light scar that ran along his right cheek. He had a black moustache and a goatee positioned on his face. Delta had piercing deep blue eyes, which were full of love for his little girl, who wasn't so little anymore.

What shocked her even more than seeing his face, the face she had only seen once, when he was shot, was when he finally said those words she longed to hear. The first words he had ever said to her or anyone else for that matter since becoming a Big Daddy.

"Yes my daughter," Delta said with a gentle yet deep voice, "I do still love you."

Hope you liked the one shot. If I get a lot of reviews I may continue this in another series.
