Love ~Piano

Magnus stood on the side of the cliff, wanting nothing more than to jump, to die. What was there left to live for? Magnus chocked on a sob and shut his eyes. He had cried enough already.

When he opened his eyes finally, Isabelle was standing in front of him. Her eyes were bloodshot and her cheeks streaked with mascara. Magnus, despite himself, collapsed in her arms, sobbing.

"It'snofairhesjustsomygodithurts," he chocked.

Isabelle said nothing; there was nothing to say. "Come on," she finally managed. "It's time."

She led the heartbroken Warlock away from the edge, and walked with him.

The field was full of Shadowhunters clad in white. Mayrse looked annoyed; it had been at Magnus's demand that Alec be buried. His Shadowhunter wouldn't be burnt. Magnus walked with his head down, his usual glittery apparel replaced by white skinny jeans and Alec's blue sweatshirt. It smelled like him, the closest thing he'd ever have to holding his boyfriend again.

A fresh wave of tears overcame Magnus, and he sank down, shaking, as his Alec was placed in the ground.

The coffin was blue; the closest color to Alec's eyes Magnus could find. Magnus buried his head in his arms.

One by one the crowd thinned, until Magnus was the only one left. The pain was too great to handle. How could his Alec die? It wasn't fair, he was so young. They all die fighting, Magnus thought bitterly. Why couldn't his Alec be spared?

He gasped for breath, but couldn't find any relief.

Kneeling at the grave, he placed a single blue rose on the overturned earth.

"Ave atque vale, my lover," he cried. "I will always love you."
