#1 Mary Anne's New friend ......The countdown to College/The New Series
Chapter 1
The Cafeteria was crowded as usual I looked around in search for my Best Friends Kristy,
Claudia, Stacey and the two Newest members of our clique Tanya and Teisha.
"Hey Mary Anne over here!!" Kristy Shouted out whilst waving her hand frantically.
I rushed over to their table as fast as I could they were all smiling which meant they had good news to
share and I always loved good news.
"Hey guys"I said with a big grin on my face.
"Hey Mary Anne" they all replied in union.
"So why do you guys look so happy?" I questioned them with the same grin I'd been wearing since I got
there.
"Well," Tanya started "You know the Big Valentines day dance is coming up and we've all been in
search of dates."
"Uh huh" I replied to her with a straight face.
"Well Stacey finally asked Shawn O'neal to the dance and he said yes, then after that Alan Gray asked
Kristy to the dance and she said yes." Tanya said with a big smile on her face.
"That's Great!" I exclaimed hugging Stacey and Kristy both and the same time.
"Yea it is isn't it "Kristy replied with a huge grin
"So who are you going with Claud I know Teisha and Tanya are going with Jerome and Marcus." I
asked .
"Ugh don't even ask I'm not even sure I'm going I've got a project due soon and if I get another D on
any of my test I'll never go to any more dances again plus I've got to get my grades up if I want to get
into the Leanardo Di'vinci school of the arts. And at this rate I doubt I'll even get into the Leanardo
Di'vinci school of the dunce." She replied in Disgust.
"Aw claud don't give up yet if you need some help I'm willing to help you any time ok." I told her.
"Ok thanks Mary Anne"she replied happily.
"Ugh look at Cokie Mason all over that boy she should be ashamed of her self." Asked Teisha in
Disgust.
"Cokie was like that since middle school there's no way she can change now.Her whole life she's been
mean to me." I told her with a frown on my face.
" I know that's right Cokie Mason ain't never gon change no matter what." Tanya replied laughing.
Bell rings.
"Ok class Remember The Assignment is due next week Monday have a good weekend"Shouted
Ms.White before the whole class ran out of the class room.
"Hey Mary Anne."
I looked around to see who it was .
"Hey Josh." I said hugging my boyfriend of 2 months.
"So we still on for tonight?" He asked with a questioned look.
"Uh Josh I totally forgot I've got to baby sit for the Johnson's tonight."I told him with a sad face.
"Oh."he replied looking kind of Depressed.
"Ok tell you what how bout we leave school tomorrow at lunch time and go to Dayton restaurant across
the street
