Death Do Us Part

She lay there on the beach underneath him, trying not to cry. She knew now that he was going to kill her. She could feel her heart breaking for the man she could have loved if given the time.

She could have stayed back at Pinehearst and not gone on this mission. He would have come back to her and they would still be friends.

She could have left things alone at the car rental. She shouldn't have riled things up in him.

She could have gone with Claire and Peter, but she was too scared and wanted help with her powers.

If she had made other decisions then she wouldn't be lying here waiting to be killed by the man who she had come to trust. Gabriel had been saving her life all day. Hours earlier he had kissed her and then they had had sex. She wasn't sure if she was in love with him because she didn't know what that meant. But she felt something deep for him, she cared for him more than she cared for her father. Her father had never protected her like this or believed in her in any way.

Laying beneath her Gabriel who was now Sylar again, she vowed not to scream. She could whine or gasp. But while he was slicing open her forehead she wouldn't scream.

As she felt the pain start, her last thought before she died was: The pain in my heart hurts worse than the pain of him cutting open my head. Death do us part Gabriel.

As Sylar stared down at the lifeless body beneath him he became the very monster he had been trying to suppress. He wanted more powers.

The End
