Here's a very short story I made, having the following prompt : A new character must ask a major protagonist for help.

He was on his laptop for more than four hours straight now, and it was 3am, maybe Phil should go to sleep... "I'll just read a few more e-mails." he thought, while openning another tab. Sometimes, it was depressing to read the comments on his youtube videos, he always found haters and this kind of people. But whenever he read his mails, it was always about thanks and how inspiring he was.

However, this night, a mail caught is eyes. It was from a 17 years old boy from England.

"Hey,

My name is Dan, and I have been watching your videos for a while now. I think you're amazing and very creative. You know I am and

have always been very insecure but since I watch you I feel like I'm getting better.

I've made something for you. I hope you read my mail, I know i've send it late but I've been thinking of it all day and I couldn't sleep so...

Thank you very much Phil,

See you ?"

Phil smiled. I wasn't the first time someone sended him a video. Well today Dan was lucky, because Phil could be sleeping right now -should be sleeping- but he wasn't. Dan's e-mail was one of the last received. The black-haired guy decided to shut his computer and go to sleep before watching the younger's mail. he was at Uni and had class the next day.

He woke up a bit late and shower and dressed up before taking a snack he could eat while trying to not arrive late in class. He liked what he studied at the time, he was the happy guy people asked for help. He hadn't really close friends but he was fine with it, he knew it will all come in time.

The day was over and he was free to go back to his appartement. As soon as he arrived, he turned on his computer. he was really excited about one of his fan's video and wanted to see it right after class. And so did he.

A black screen with a text that said "Sorry I'm not good at editing.". Then a tall, skinny boy appeared on the screen. He started speaking, facing the camera.

"Hi, my name's Dan Howel. First, I'm glad you took the time to watch this, Phil."

Anothet shot, the boy was very close to the camera and whispered he knew who the viewer was, it made Phil smile. Back to the first percpective, he took a deep breath and, after talking a bit about himself and the Youtuber's importance in his life, asked for help. The video ended with a serie of shots with different effects, giving it a mistery, almost scary touch.

Then all you could see was a e-mail written on the screen.

Phil liked the video though. He opened his mail box and started to write.

"Hey Dan.

I've seen your video, it's quite good, I like it ! You look confident in front of the camera, it's a good thing.

But why do you need my help ? I'm not really good at anything so I don't really see what you mean.

I hope you're fine."

After a few days, the ebene-haired boy was a bit concerned as he hadn't got any reply since the last e-mail when, by chance, he notice two mails from Dan.

In the first, he was just replying, in the second, he seemed sad to see that Phil didn't reply anymore.

Phil did then, as quickly as he could and then kept and talking to each other, then they met in person, Dan started a Youtube channel, and they became the duo we all know and love.
