It all began in 5th grade when Tai and Sora were just finishing up their tests. and then Tai and Sora decided to take a break from their frustrating tests, which they aced. and then they decided to hang out by the school soccer field by walking and holding hands.
Then Matt and Daisy noticed them and decided to come over there, by also walking hand-in-hand. "So Tai, Sora. how'd you do?" he asked, while his girlfriend was talking to Sora. Sora broke away from her convo with Daisy to tell Matt that they aced it. "That's good. so how'd you two do?" Tai asked Matt.
"We nailed it too." he said. "That's awesome." Tai said. then Joe came over with a disappointed look on his face. "How'd you do Joe?" Sora asked. "I failed the test." he said. "Well, if you failed the test, don't you have to take it again?" Matt asked. "Yeah. and hopefully I pass this time." Joe said. then he went back inside and took it again. five minutes later, he had a huge smile on his face. "You aced it this time?" Tai asked.
"Yep. and I don't have to take it again." Joe replied. then the bell rang, which meant that the 5th/6th grade exams were over. Joe trailed behind Tai, Sora, Matt and Daisy who were all holding hands, but Matt put his arm around Daisy this time and he looked gloomy. Tai and Matt looked at him. "What's up Joe?" they asked at the same time. "Nothing. it's just that. every time I see you with your girlfriends, it makes me feel like I don't have anyone to call my girlfriend." he replied.
"What about Mimi?" Tai asked. "She and I are just friends. nothing else. Joe said. "Oh. come on. haven't you saved her butt millions of times in the digital world?" Matt asked. Joe blushed and pushed his glasses up to the bridge of his nose. "Yeah." he said. "Then go for it. make your move bro." Tai and Matt said at the same time.
Then after school, Joe decided to go to Mimi's apartment and tell her how he feels about her. Joe knocked on the door. Mrs. Tachikawa answered it.
"Hello Joe. Mimi's up in her room. you can go upstairs if you want." she said warmly. "Thanks Mrs. Tachikawa." Joe said, coming inside and going to Mimi's room. Joe knocked on Mimi's door. "It's open." she said. then he came inside. Mimi was sitting on her bed, listening to Taylor Swift. the song she was listening to was "Love Story." she paused the song and took her earphones off.
"What's up?" she asked, when Joe sat on the edge of her bed. "Nothing. I just came over to tell you that I totally like you." he confessed, while he twiddled his thumbs and looked down, determined not to look at her, but she lifted his head. Mimi gasped. "You do?" she asked in shock.
Joe blushed. "Yeah. I-I've liked you for a long time. I haven't had the chance to tell you with everyone else hanging around."
"Well, that's great that you finally told me. because I like you too." Mimi said, also starting to blush. Joe was relieved. then they shared a sweet kiss. then he left Mimi's room. then after Joe left Mimi's apartment, he went straight to Tai's to tell them the good news.
"Did you tell her?" Tai asked, when Joe came in. he nodded. Sora and Daisy cheered. "And then we kissed." Joe said. "Way to go, dude." Matt said, while he high-fived him. Tai, Izzy and T.K. cheered. Sora and Daisy hugged each other and hopped happily.
