Remembrance
Sweat streamed down his brow. The physical exercise was the only thing that helped. Or rather, the thing that helped best. He had never been able to ban her completely from his thoughts.
He had felt sick when he was told the news, but when he saw her, right there in front of him, the earth was swept away from under his feet. Somehow, until he had actually seen her, it had all seemed like a bad dream. There really was no denying it now. She was actually carrying that weakling's baby.
Agent wrinkles, boyscout, there were so many things he could think of but he knew very well it was childish and unsatisfying. Everything in his life was unsatisfying without her.
The guy didn't deserve her, or her love. The loser had given up on her so fast when she was dead. Within 2 years he had been married to another. Though, actually emo-boy wasn't the loser in this. He was.
He'd tried to take his revenge by having an affair with the wife, but what had it gotten him? The few moments of mental torture he had caused at her grave? They had turned out empty. He was still the one left without.
His dreams were haunted, his thoughts obsessed. She might have been his redemption, instead he was doomed for the rest of his life. This was what he was meant for until he died, alone, without glory, love or satisfaction.
A/N: So that's it, please review, it's very much appreciated!
