Hi! Hope you enjoy.

I don't own anything you recognize.

Sirius had flown there almost immediately after he heard the news.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think she's well enough to leave home yet", Mrs. Lupin had said. James and Sirius knew what that meant.

"I'll be back tonight", Sirius told Dorea and Charlus. "I just need to check on her."

Mr. and Mrs. Potter had let him go. James went with him.

So, after finding he Lupins' address, they grabbed their brooms and flew over.

Once they arrived, they set the brooms on the porch and knocked on the door.

"What if they don't let us in?", Sirius asked.

James gave him a sideways glance. "We've met them before, Pads. They know who we are."

"I know, but what if -"

Sirius was cut off when the door opened, revealing Hope Lupin.

She had met both of them (and Peter) on Platform 9 & ¾ many times.

"Hi, Mrs. Lupin", James said. "We were wondering if we could see Raina for a bit?"

Mrs. Lupin hesitated, then nodded.

As she led them toward her daughter's room, she said, "She's been sleeping all day, and most of yesterday as well."

"How is she?", Sirius asked, his heart starting to beat faster.

"Very weak", she answered with a sad look in her eyes that, according to Raina, was always there.

Mrs. Lupin quietly opened the door and left the boys alone.

Sirius looked around her room.

The room had light purple walls and two overflowing bookcases (figures, Sirius thought), and a shelf that was filled with stuffed animals, most likely from when she was younger.

Raina was lying in bed, the covers thrown off, with sweatpants and a jumper on. Her hair was covering half of her face.

They sat in silence for a while before Mrs. Lupin came back in. She went over to her daughter's bed and gently shook her.

"I need to get her to eat something today", Mrs. Lupin said.

Raina stirred a bit before her eyes opened.

"Your friends are here, love", her mother told her.

Raina sat up quickly, wincing and hissing in pain as she did so.

"I'll be right back", Mrs. Lupin told them. Sirius and James sat on Raina's bed.

"What are you doing here?"

"Seeing if you're alright", James answered, gently pushing her back onto her pillows. "Which, obviously you're not."

Raina shook her head as much as she could without hurting her neck more than it was.

"What happened?", Sirius asked worriedly. Raina looked at him for a moment before answering.

"I don't know. I guess - I guess the wolf got used to having help, and when you weren't there...It was bad. Mum has been crying since they brought me inside."

Mrs. Lupin came back in then, carrying a small tray of food. Raina's eyes widened and she shook her head.

"We should be getting home, I think", James said, standing up. Sirius stood up as well.

"Write soon, okay?", Raina asked. They both nodded and said goodbye to her and her mother.

They left.

After they were gone, Raina said, "Mum, I told you, I can't eat yet. Makes me sick just thinking about it."

Her mother put the tray on the nightstand and sat on Raina's bed.

"You haven't eaten since lunch two days ago. You're going to -", she stopped and looked at something.

"What?", Raina asked. Then she saw it.

It was the sweatshirt Sirius had been wearing. When did he take it off?

"One of them left it - Sirius, was it?", Mrs. Lupin asked. Raina nodded absently, taking it from her.

Her mother was giving her a strange look.

"I'll leave the tray in here. Try to eat some of it, okay?"

Raina nodded again, her eyes still on the sweatshirt.

Wolfstar fluff is the best, isn't it? Hope you liked it!
