I don't own Ice Age or any of its characters.
"Daddy? Daddy!"
Manny barely opened his eyes, and just waved his trunk. "Not now, Sid… I'm asleep…" he said groggily.
"Sid? Daddy, Uncle Sid isn't here. It's me!"
He opened his eyes a little further and realized who it was that woke him up. "Oh, jeez… sorry, Johnny." He saw in front of him a little baby mammoth, no older than 2. He looked just like Manny, but with piercing green eyes. "I'm up, I'm up. What's wrong, kiddo?"
Little Johnny looked down at his feet and started shuffling them around. "I kinda… sorta… had a bad dream."
The large mammoth's eyes melted at such an innocent face, and he nudged the female lying next to him. "Hey, Ellie." She grunted. "Ellie! Wake up!"
"Uh… mhmn… no, Crash… naf.."
He groaned and lifted her ear, and whispered as loud as he dared, "ELLIE!"
She bolted up to her legs, "What! What? I'm up!" She realized that it was her husband that woke her up, and that her little boy was standing there, laughing at her predicament. She lied back down and said, "What's wrong?"
"Ah, the little man had a bad dream again." Manny said, motioning toward their son.
"Aw, poor guy…" she said, picking him up with her trunk and sticking him in between her husband and herself. "Do you wanna sleep with us tonight?"
Johnny snuggled in between his parents and nodded, his voice muffled by the fur, "Mmhmm…"
Manny used his trunk to
brush his child's fur out of his face, and patted him on the top of
his head. "Goodnight, kiddo."
Johnny yawned, "Goodnight,
daddy. Goodnight, momma"
Ellie smiled, "Goodnight, buddy."
Before she even finished, the kid was already fast asleep, comfy in between his parents. Manny and Ellie's eyes were both drooping also, but not so fast that their trunks couldn't intertwine before they fell asleep.

"Manny!" screamed the 3 toed sloth we all know and love. "Manny! Where ARE you? The game's about to start!"
From the mouth of a cave, Diego said, "I found 'em, Sid." He glanced once again at the sleeping family of mammoths. "I think we can let him miss it this one time."
I just saw it today and felt compelled to write it. Don't ask what the game was... IDK...
