"There were bagpipes involved."
Jack turned to face Owen. "And just how do you reckon that?"
"Well, we're in Scotland, right? Stands to reason, don't it? Fuck, it's cold," Owen ran his hands up and down his arms to try and warm up. "How come teab-"
Jack shot Owen a glare that could have melted all the snow around them and Owen was vaguely surprised when it didn't. "What have I told you about calling him that?"
Owen tried hard not to shudder under the force of the gaze and the stern voice. "Fine. How come Ianto gets to stay in the SUV, all warm and toasty while the three of us freeze our arses off?"
Jack smirked and was probably about to deliver a very crude answer, when Tosh finished her scanning.
"Ah ha," she called, waving her strange little computer thingy that still confused Owen as to how it worked. Alien tech, what could you do?
Tosh pointed off to a small cavern in the cliff face. "Whatever is giving off the readings is in there."
Owen threw up his arms, "I said that it had to be in the cave when we first got here. You," he pointed accusingly at Tosh, "insisted a scan was necessary to make sure. I was right."
Jack stepped smoothly between them and turned Owen towards the cave. "Yes you were. Good job, Owen. For being right, you can go first."
Owen nearly growled. "Next time we do something like this, I'm staying with the fucking car. Ianto can get his pretty little hands dirty."
Tosh giggled. "You think Ianto has pretty hands?"
This time, Owen did growl.
