Finding
a friend
By: Beylan Wimsatt
A small, young Japanese girl named Satsuki went to a large public
middle school in Tokyo, Japan. She had short black hair and light
blue eyes. She has a slim body and wears a school uniform. She has no
friends and was always carrying around some sort of computer
technology. She hardly spoke to anyone at home and at school. She
hated school since no one liked her. She was constantly made fun of
and beat up. After awhile she grew to hate everyone except her self
and her computers. She stopped interacting with the teachers and even
started to skip school. She locked her self in her room isolating her
self from the world. She had no cares for the people or creatures out
side her room. She only cared for her computer. Eventually she
stopped eating.
Her parents became worried and tried everything
to get her to interact with other middle school students. Finally
after two months they got her to go back to school and eat. Though
they had to buy her a brand new lap top and she used it at school to
talk to the teachers and do her work. Satsuki was gradually coming
out of her shell. She still didn't talk to other kids, but was
gradually working up to it. Her parents did what they could and now
Satsuki was doing a bit better.
After a few months Satsuki
warmed up to two kids, named Tom and Sakura, not knowing they were
using her. After a week of knowing the two kids she had warmed up and
started to talk more and interact, but that all ended the next week.
Tom and Sakura took Satsuki with them into an ally where their hang
out was. They then started to beat her up.
"Give us the lap top and you will survive!" said tom.
Sakura smiled as she punched Satsuki in the gut. Satsuki fell to her knees coughing up blood. Tom took the lap top and laid it in his bag. He then joined his friend Sakura in the joy of beating Satsuki up.
"Someone
please help me!" Satsuki screamed out, but unfortunately no one
came to her rescue.
After an hour Satsuki laid in a huge puddle
of her own blood nearly clinging to her life. She was conscious but
barely. She tried calling out again and she kept it up till she had
no energy left to stay awake. As she started to lose consciousness a
stranger appeared.
"I'm lei," said
the stranger, "Don't worry I am going to get you out of this
alive." With that the boy took on the two bullies as Satsuki closed
her eyes.
Lei managed to make the bullies run leaving Satsuki
and her lap top. Lei picked Satsuki's limp body up and packed her
to the hospital. After the doctors told him she would be alright he
left her side and called her parents. He told them what had happened
and then went back to sit next to Satsuki. After a few hours Satsuki
awoke to see Lei sleeping in a chair next to her hospital bed. Her
parents arrived and were crying. Lei woke up and smiled at Satsuki
and to her parents. Satsuki's parents thanked Lei and so did
Satsuki. She owed him her live and was grateful that he showed up.
The next week Satsuki was released from the hospital. Lei had
stayed by her side the whole time she was there. They had gotten to
know each other really well while she was at the hospital, so now
they were like family. He had helped her figure out that not all
humans where bad and that everyone deserved a good friend. From the
very day she learnt that and to this very day, Satsuki and Lei are
still close friends and helping each other through the pain and
sorrow of life.
