Summary: Following a tragic event, Cletus Finds out that fate has not exactly smiled on the Duke boy's
Notes: The Dukes of Hazzard Meets Smallville… The Idea has been played on before – even in Smallville itself, as well as other fan fic stories. This story is a one shot but it you could take it as a Prologue to The Dogs of Justice and Duke's of Smallville, Kent's of Hazzard, a couple of stories I've got in the works as for, when they will be posted… that's anyone's guess.

Cletus Hogg couldn't believe it.
A Mass Murder had happened in Hazzard County – Daisy and Enos Starit as well as Cooter Davenport had been found shot dead in the House of the old Duke Farm. It was worse than the nasty Car crash that claimed the lives of Jesse Duke, Cousin Boss and Rosco. That had happened not long after that big meteor shower that had hit that small town in Kansas in 1989.
At least what was left of the Starit's and Davenport's families still had Coy and Vance Duke to help them get though this rough time.
It turned out that the People that had Killed Daisy, Enos and Cooter were really after Bo and Luke Duke – for destroying one of their crime rings over 30 years ago, and because of it Bo and Luke had gone into witness protection – and now Cletus wanted to contact them, to tell them what happened to their family and friend… and to warn them that they could be next.
It was several weeks before Cletus got a response – and it wasn't from the FBI.
Dear Mr. Hogg. (The Letter had started)
My Name is Clark Kent, and I wish to offer my condolences for the loss of your friend's I Know you must be going though a rough time, but I'm afraid the news I have for you about your other two friend's is not all good.
Luke Duke became Jack Jennings, after he left Hazzard, he went on to become Senator for Kansas state, before a scandal forced him to retire. Unfortunately your warning that someone might be after him came too late… Luke was found shot dead in his home after putting up one heck of a fight.
The People responsible were caught and tried in the court of Law; they will never set foot in the free world again.
Uncle Jack had two children Ethan, who is now living with my mom because he does doesn't get on with his Mother and step father, and Dianne who lives with her mother.
Bo Duke became Jonathan Kent, he stuck with farming - owning a farm in Smallville, Kansas, and married his collage sweetheart Martha Clark. Bo died of a heart attack in 2005. He was my father.
My father never told us that he had a life before he came to Smallville so My Mother and I knew nothing about Hazzard or the Dukes for that matter – until your letter, it's made us interested about finding out more.
I am Sorry that I can't give you better news about your friends.

The world fell out from Cletus's feet then, Bo and Luke dead? That seemed impossible; the way they used to drive around Hazzard it made it seem that they had charmed life – nothing could touch or catch them.
Then again it was known that old Jesse often said that the likelihood of the boy's settling down and having a family was up there with hogs producing beef, but they had actually managed to do just that.
Cletus sighed and set about telling Coy and Vance what happened to their cousin's. In what seemed like the end of an era.
