The woman jolted upright from the floor, a feverish sheen covering her body. Glazed eyes opened to a world of darkness. An unbearable pounding enveloped her head. Unseeing she shakily lifted herself teetering to a stand. Her bare feet slapped noisily upon the wet stone. Blindly she followed disembodied cries of pain through the seemingly endless darkness. Only one thought running through her fog clouded brain; someone needed help. She didn't know who, though she knew they were important. Vibrant green eyes flashed through her vision. Raising her hand, she touched her head feeling a slight stickiness. As the cries grew louder she approached an illuminated door. Knots intertwined to make unfathomable designs upon the ancient door stretching up as far as she could see, she lifted her hand and reached out, but as her hand reached the edge of darkness surrounding the door ,the keen cry stopped.
She blinked once and the dark turned to a blinding white and in place of the door was another woman. She has long flowing light hair, and sky blue eyes. Her form was covered in a white flowing dress. Her hand hung between the two of them as the light woman looked at her bewildered. The light woman slowly lifted her hand and intertwined her fingers with her's, but as she did so blood began to stain her pristine dress. Spilling from her stomach to fall down her legs and create a puddle around the two of them.
Looking down the woman blinked as she noticed that she to ,was bleeding. Detached she watched as her blood dripped out of her thick curling hair and darkened the fabric of the identical dress to that of the light woman. She didn't feel any pain though, only slight fascination as coldness seeped into every pore of her being.
She looked back up and faced the light woman once more opening her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. They stood there for hours, hands intertwined; standing in a pool of their combined blood, in the blinding whiteness which enveloped them. No sound at all, no pain, only coldness. Nothing ness enveloped the two as the watched each other, staring deeply into the others eyes.
Familiarity washed over her as she looked into the aloof eyes of the light woman, but she did not know the woman in front of her. She did not know herself. The light woman opened her mouth as if to speak, but only a high pitched screech left her parted lips. She ripped her hand from the light woman's grip and slammed them over her ears as pain like know other enveloped her. She fell to her knees at the same time as the light woman, both clutching their heads. The light woman had closed her mouth at this point, but the screeching only grew louder and louder, and both girls began to bleed out of their eyes, noses, and ears.
Then as soon as it had come, it left. Taking the white with it and only leaving the dark looming shadows of gray and the ancient door in its wake.
The light woman shifted, reaching her hand for the doors handle. She tried to stop the light woman's reach, for the closer she went to the door the colder she became, but it was too late, she had opened the door. The two were enveloped in total nothingness. Time itself ceased to exist.
