winter.

the time had finally come to konaha, and the village was covered with a veil of snow. people were bustling about the streets Christmas shopping, while the children made snow angels and had snowball fights.

today however, the snow was falling so hard and thick you could barely see 3 feet away. Everyone in the village was at home, bundled up and sitting by the hearth.

Because of the difficult weather, Hokage-Sama released the younger Ninja's from their missions. They were all very relieved. Most of them planned on heading straight, but one blonde ninja had other idea's.

"Naruto." Naruto turned, looking for the source of the voice. he found none other than Sasuke Uchiha. "what do you want, Teme?" Naruto said.

"Your house is that way," sasuke said, nodding towards the opposite street. "But your headed that way, towards the training grounds. you can't really be thinking of training in this weather."

"please. this weather ain't nothin." Naruto replied.

Sasuke rolled his eye's. "No way. If you get hypothermia you'll slow me down during missions. Now come on." Sasuke said, grabbing Naruto by the wrist and pulling him down the street with him.

Naruto pulled and yelled and whined, but Sasuke continued dragging him along. Finally they reached Naruto's house. Sasuke pulled open the front door and pulled Naruto in with him.

"you know I'm just gonna head back to the training grounds as soon as you leave right?" Naruto said. "I guess I'll just have to stay, then." Sasuke replied.

"Huh?! No way! Get out Teme!" Naruto cried. "to cold," Sasuke complained. "No way am i going back out there."

Naruto gave him the best glare he could managed, grumbling under his breath as he led the way to his room. Once there, Naruto immediately collapsed on the bed and curled into a ball.

"Do whatever you want. Just don't touch my Ramen."

Sasuke sighed and sat down on the ground, leaning against the bedpost. the two boys stayed like that for a few minutes before Sasuke broke the silence.

"why are you always training?" he asked. Naruto was quiet for a few moments before he answered. "I'm a Ninja. I have to stay in shape."

"I'm aware of that. but your constantly training. you push yourself so hard, and you never take a break. why?"

Naruto layed there silent for so long that Sasuke was beginning to wonder if he'd ever answer when Naruto finally said, "I dunno. guess it's just a good distraction."

Sasuke wanted to ask what he wanted to be distracted from, but he didn't pry. Instead he muttered "so cold."

Naruto sighed and rolled over so he could look down at Sasuke. "If your cold you can come up here you know."

Sasuke blinked. he hadn't thought Naruto had heard him, and was surprised by his offer. Nonetheless, he took it. He shrugged nonchalantly. "Don't see any reason not to."

And with that he crawled into bed next to Naruto. Sasuke couldn't remember how one thing had led to another, but one moment him and Naruto were lying next to each other stiffly, and the next he had his arms around Naruto, and Naruto was curled up next to him, nuzzling the crook of his neck.

Sasuke noted how warm it was. He snuggled closer to Naruto.

"i could get used to this." He thought with a smile.
