"Bunny!" Jack Frost shouted as he slammed the door to he and his best friend's flat shut, running excitedly into the lounge. The older was probably still upstairs putting his finishing touches on his Easter decorations. Why his friend decorated so heavily for the holiday, Jack will never understand. That's okay though, because the happiness it brought his friend was worth the scattered painted eggs adorning every empty surface and the bright colored, well, everything.
"What?" His friend shouted from his bedroom, pocking his messy black hair out of the door. Jack chuckled as he set the box he was carrying down beside the couch, far out of Bunny's sight.
"I've got something to show you whenever you finish with whatever you're doing in there." The silver-haired man replied, perching himself on top of the white couch. The older tossed something back into the room, a thump echoing through the flat. It wasn't long after that the 24 year old, clad in his typical black skinny jeans, converse, and overly colorful Easter themed shirt, quite literally hopped downstairs and into the lounge.
"You did not get an egg nose ring." Jack sighed fondly as his friend smiled, nodding his head.
"Can't help it, Frosty. You know how much I love Easter." The older said with a smirk, crossing his arms. "And if I remember correctly, you wore snowflake earrings for months during the winter."
"Different!" Jack exclaimed. Bunny rolled his eyes.
"Okay. Now, what did you want to show me?" The older asked, a slight tinge of impatientness clouding his tone. Him and his decorating...
"Well, I know how much you love Easter and everything to do with it," Jack began, walking over to where he had set the box down on the ground. The younger motioned for Bunny to come join him, the black-haired one doing so with slight hesitation. Once the older stood next to Jack who now sat on his knees next to the present, he motioned for Bunny to do the same. "I got you something that I think you'd love." Jack motioned toward the box, laughing as Bunny stared at him as if he'd grown another head.
"If this explodes-"
"It won't I promise!" Jack exclaimed, throwing his hands up in mock surrender. "I only do that on Christmas." Bunny scoffed and went to open the box, jumping back when something in it moved.
"What the-" Bunny opened the box quickly, a large smile breaking across his face as he lifted a small, grey and white rabbit out of the box. "Oh my God, you did not get me a rabbit!" He exclaimed, hugging the furry animal close to his chest.
"I had to. I mean, how could I not?" Jack said, smiling as the older cooed over the animal. That's a sight I thought I'd never see. "Dude, we call you Bunny. Just couldn't pass up the chance to get you one of your own."
"I think I just fell in love with you." Bunny said with a chuckle, causing the silver haired man to blush lightly.
"Oh, it was nothing." Jack chuckled nervously, rubbing his hand over the back of his neck.
"No, for real though, thank you." Bunny said, the large smile now replaced with a content upturn of his lips. "You have no idea how much this means to me."
"Happy Easter, Bunny." Jack smiled fondly, his eyes filled with shock as his friend scooted closer.
"Happy Easter, Jack." The older hesitantly pressed his lips against Jack's, the younger freezing before relaxing into the kiss.
How's that for unexpected?
Made this for my friend and decided to also post it here! This is also my first human AU for Bunny so I hope I did okay!
