I packed my bags and sighed, looking back to my house. I gave a sad smile to my nephew, Benjamin. "It's okay, Benny. Don't cry, it's for the Rodent's Gazette."
Benjamin continued crying. "But wouldn't you be leaving for...for a year?"
I nodded. "Yes, Benny. I'll give you call every night. When I go back home, you'll be 10! Isn't that great? You'll be in middle school!"
Benjamin sighed. "I'll still miss you." He hugged me and a single tear flowed down my cheek. I looked around me to see Grandfather William, Trap, Thea, Hercule Poirat, Petunia, Creepella and Bugsy Wugsy were here to bring me to the airport.
We made a group hug and Grandfather William gave me a hard slap on my shoulder. "I'll call a taxi."
Petunia hugged me and I felt my heart beating faster. "I'll miss you, Gerryberry." She kissed me on the tip of my snout. I blushed and hugged her some more.
Creepella growled and hugged me. "Take care of yourself, Gerrykins." She kissed my cheek. I felt sick but hugged her anyway.
Thea hugged me, while Trap gave me a slap on the face and then hugged me. I laughed and hugged them back.
"Thank you all for, uh, supporting me for this idea." I stuttered, not wanting my tears to flow down. "Because the Rodent's Gazette is running out of ideas...I AM running out of ideas so I wanna go to Twin Peaks because, um, there are unusual events there and...I want to list down some and, uh, I'll miss you all." I waved and hopped on the taxi.
Benjamin jumped into the taxi, as well. "I'm going with Geronimo!" He retorted to the gang then looked at me. "I'll miss you, Uncle." He hugged me.
"Ditto." I smiled and hugged him back.
"Yeah, I'm on the plane." I replied to Grandfather William on the phone. I put my bags on top. "Yeah, I will. Yes I brought typewriter." I rolled my eyes. "No, I didn't take the bottled water on my desk. Yes Grandfather, it won't happen again." I hung up my phone and relaxed on the plane. Finally, I'm not on Cheap Airlines.
This is the start of a brand new adventure
