Daryl Dixon, crossbow shooting, long haired redneck, wandered the wood alone after the Governor had attacked the prison almost 3 weeks ago and is fighting to survive. He walked along the train track for almost 8 miles before finding a small cabin in the woods, he walks into the small shack looking house, crossbow raised and ready to shoot, he walks into the living room and hears a thud in the closed room behind him, he walks slowly to the door to investigate and slowly opens the door up and walks in the pitch black room, and sees nothing out of the ordinary

Then as he goes to walk out of the small bed room, he hears small whimpers come out of the closet beside him, he walks towards the closet and aims his crossbow and points his flash light, and opens the small door, and looks down, and sees Beth all alone crying in the small closet, looking dehydrated and starved.

Daryl then picks her up in the 'bridal position' and puts her on the couch and helps her gulp down the bottled spring water he got out of a convent store just the night before he takes in the water slowly, and looks up at the redneck. She gets up and sits in his lap and hugs him so tight, and kisses his check "Thank you Daryl, thank for finding me" she whispers in his ear and falls asleep right there in his lap as exhaustion took over her body once again, then he feels her go limp and realizes she's slowly going into dreamland.

She wakes up several hours later on the opposite side of the couch, she slowly sits up and rubs her eyes and realized Daryl is no where around, so stands up in a panic, and soon regret's it from her past of dehydration. "Daryl?" She calls. And gets no answer from the redneck. She walks out the front door and that's when she hears the snarl's and quickly realizes what it was. She pulled out her pocket knife and stabbed it through the skull, the next thing she knew, there was two more on top of her, trying to take out a portion of her neck and her arm. "DARYL!" she screamed out. But still no answer, so she screamed as loud as she could "DARYL!" it was then when the redneck from almost 5 minuets away hunting could hear the screaming girl call his name. He runs though the wood as fast as he can with the 2 rabbits he caught so far. He dashed thought the wood, and that's when he see's the girl, struggling for her life. He quickly put a bolt through the walkers head's and runs over to the girl.

She sat there crying, as Daryl knelt down to her, and as soon as he does she grabs him tightly in a strong hug, he held on to her until she is done crying 10 minuets later, as she looks him in his beautiful blue eyes, "Thank you for saving me, and letting me cry on you, I really needed that you know." She says to him,

"S'nothin just thought you needed some comforting s'all." He answers.

She looks at him with puffy eyes from crying "Daryl, I'm hungry?"

"Well lucky for you I got lots of squirrel. All's I gotta do is skin'em then cook'em up."

It took Daryl almost 15 min's to skin and cook up the meat, and they both had their plate gone within mins as well.

"Daryl?" she asked.

"Hmm?" he answered.

"Are you gonna take the couch or the bed tonight?" she questioned him.

"I'll take the couch. S'closer to the door anyway, any trouble ill be first ta know."
"do you think you can put the couch in the bed room?" she asked him.

"Why?" he seemed confused.

"well, I've been alone for the passed few weeks, and I don't wanna feel alone anymore."

"I guess I can put it in there, but for tonight only!"
