Trisana Chandler walked around Summersea .It was good to be home .Idly scanning the winds, Tris caught a flash of magic. It was a young woman, standing over a bucket next to a door; her hands seemed to be siphoning water from the air itself into the bucket! Tris hurried towards the girl, but got there too late; irritated, she knocked on the door insistently. It was opened by an oily looking man.

"Yes?" he said.

"There was a girl standing here recently. Who is she?"

"Why do you need to know this information?"

"My name is Trisana Chandler. Do you want to repeat your question?"

"Ah, no." the man paled visibly. "As for the young lady she is a water purifier. I do not know her name."

"When will she return to this place?"

"Around noon, tomorrow."

"Very well."

Tris turned, resolving to return to the place tomorrow.

"Excuse me?"

The girl, nearly toppling, whirled around. As she turned, water droplets formed at the hem of her skirt, orbiting it.

"What?"The girl said curtly. Studying the girl, Tris saw that her magic was more or less steady.

"Who is your teacher?"

The girl wrinkled her brow. "My teacher for what?"

"Magic. Don't even bother telling me you don't have any."

"Well, I ain't a mage. I'm jus' a water-witch, like my ma."

"Water-witch or not, you need a teacher."

"How'm I 'posed to pay one?"

"They won't charge. I'll teach you myself if no one else can."

"Why bother yourself about a poor water-witch? Here one day, dead the next, jus' like any other beggar."

"If your magic gets out of control, you could destroy the city. Besides, if I care for you maybe others will follow my example. "

"Fine; I will come. "the girl said haughtily.

Looks like you've met your match Briar said. Maybe, maybe not Tris replied airily and hurried after the girl.
