ONESHOT
It had been a fulfilling day at NCIS. McGee sat at his desk, looking over the paperwork involving the recent case they had been assigned to. The man that was their main suspect had supposedly been embezzling his father's money for a machine involved in a plot against the navy. McGee rubbed his eyes and sort of stretched his face out in an attempt to stay awake.
He took a sip of his coffee and then stretched. He then looked over at the evidence camera that he needed to download the photos off of. He then pulled up his computer and downloaded all the pictures; he looked through them and then decided to transfer them over to the rest of the photos in the albums on the computer.
He pulled up the rest of the photos, all they'd ever taken for all the crimes they've investigated. He filed through a few and then suddenly a smile played across his face.
He saw all the pictures that were normal to the crime scene and gruesome, but there was a bunch more. The one's taken at random.
One of the shots was of Gibb's forehead taken by none other than Abby; one was of Tony on the ground and in an awkward position and Kate was by him laughing when that photo was taken. There was another one of McGee, just a headshot; he couldn't remember who took it though.
He didn't know why he didn't just delete all the photos, Gibbs had told him to, but everyone else didn't want them gone. They wanted McGee to keep the pictures. McGee had only obliged.
"Hello Timothy," the voice that belonged to Ducky suddenly called out. "What are you doing here so late?"
"Oh hey Ducky," McGee smiled. "I'm just downloading the pictures from the crime scene today."
"Ah," Ducky smiled. "Well don't let me keep you from analyzing them…they do say a picture's worth a thousand words you know?"
Ducky then wrapped his scarf tighter around his neck and walked over to the elevator. The doors pinged open and he stepped inside then descended to the parking lot.
McGee smiled at the pictures. Ducky was right. A picture was worth a thousand words…
And what the pictures said to him was only one word…
