The wind ripped through the trees of the forbidden forest, and the usually glassy surface of the lake was disturbed with waves. It was not the best weather to start off the year at Hogwarts. It could even be taken so far s to say that the dreadful weather was a bad omen. Could it be a coincidence that on the very same day that Harry Potter, the boy who lived, was coming to Hogwarts, there was dreadful weather? Many of the teachers at Hogwarts would have dismissed it as nothing if there hadn't been more. Aralina Rithi, the god daughter of he-who-must-not-be-named, was also going to start her first day at Hogwarts. Ill weather on the day of Aralina's coming was what really stirred up the gossip. Many of the professors had objected to her coming. They had used every argument they could think of. No one had ever met Aralina, no one except the Death Eaters, Voldemort, and the families of the Death Eaters. The fact that such a person as he-who-must-not-be-named could raise a child was not good. The girl was surely evil. The only professors that didn't object to the coming of the girl were Professor Snape, the Potions master, and Professor Quirrel, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher.

The other teachers didn't know why Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, was putting up with the girl. But, they had to endure her, or lose their place as a teacher there. Most of them had already made up their mind not to like the girl. Little did they know, hating the child would be harder than they had ever imagined.
