As the greatest detective in the world, it doesn't take Bruce long to notice that when very tired, very ill, or very injured – when he has plausible deniability – Damian calls Dick Baba.

The thing Dick loves most about Wally (but only barely; with Wally there are so many things to love) is that he is so irrepressibly alive.

Damian has learned that Grayson loves with his whole heart and soul and mind, but doesn't know what to do about it when he realizes that Grayson loves him.

Rudolph West loves his son, which is why he bears a deep resentment towards Barry Allen – who seems to be slowly but surely stealing him away.

It takes nearly two years of working with his father for Damian to give in to frustration and loneliness and run away to Bludhaven.

Dick knows he should send Damian back to the manor, but he knows exactly how he feels – and he is so, so happy to have him here.

It only takes five minutes of knowing him for Wally to understand why Tim calls Damian the demon child.

Damian does not approve of West, nor of Grayson's strange dependence on him for happiness.

"Dick, I'm pretty sure your baby demon hates me."

"Try not calling him a demon, Wally."

When everything is said and done, Jason is less angry at Dick than he's angry that he's not angry at Dick.

He still hates Bruce though.

Richard Grayson is twenty-four when he challenges Bruce Wayne for custody of his only biological son – and wins.

Dick is so grateful that Bruce didn't take him to court over Damian, because he's not sure he would have won, then – but he's also angry, because it sent Damian a clear message about what his father thinks he's worth.

"No, seriously Dick, I am never sleeping over here again; the demon tried to kill me last night."

Bruce loves all of his sons – perhaps not equally, and perhaps he doesn't show it well, but he does and he wants what's best for them – so when he realizes that what's best for Damian is Dick, he lets him go without a fight.

Damian can't be Robin in Bludhaven, but Flamebird – Flamebird is an option.

The one thing Damian really regrets about moving to Bludhaven is leaving Colin behind.

When Damian is Grayson's ward once again, the man gives him the option of adoption, of taking his name; Damian thinks of his parents, his legacy, for only a moment before accepting.

For all he loves his mother, Damian Grayson-Wayne is honestly glad to have one more layer of separation between his current self and his past as an al Ghul.

Dick can tell when Damian is particularly upset with his father because he introduces himself without the Wayne.

The first time Damian call him Baba to his face, without anything to cover for it, Dick drops what he's holding and envelopes him in a joyful embrace.

Damian will deny it forever, but he secretly loves Grays— Baba's frequent and overzealous displays of affection.

The reason – the real reason – Dick became Damian's guardian is quite simple; Damian came to him and asked, said you are the only person I trust to have power over me – and that was it for Dick.

"If I married Roy Harper while drunk," Dick said meditatively, "I don't think I'd go back on it in the morning."

"Please, West, if I were trying to kill you you'd be dead."

Dick inspires loyalty and love in nearly everyone he meets.

Bruce... does not.

At one point, Jason actually did marry Roy Harper while drunk; he's still not sure whether it was the best or worst decision of his life.

Barbara Gordon and Artemis Crock together bear the title of most amazing women Dick Grayson has ever met.
