Chapter 1 - The Second Champion
For the fourth time in an hour, Professor Albus Dumbledore rubs the bridge of his nose, trying to ease the phantom pain of unmeasurable headache; around him, several people could be heard arguing among themselves. He tried to think of something to please the arguing parties, hoping that a spur of inspiration will come to his mind. Nevertheless, the constant bickering of the adults in the room made it hard for his old mind to think clearly. Clearly the commotion that happened earlier tonight had shaken the headmaster of Hogwarts.
"We should have known better than to believe that the Hogwart would play fair. Not only they have 2 champions, something that should never been allowed, but also they managed to charm the goblet to choose the supposed Boy-Who-Lived for their third and final champions".
"Mdm Maxime, please believe us! We never planned to do such trickery." A woman tried to plead to the first speaker. "We didn't even know how the second champion could be selected, let alone the third."
"Be that may be, Hogwart's champions have been selected. How could we take part in these unfair tournament with only one champion each?"
"Re-ignite the goblet and let us nominate our second and third champion." A man with an european accent spoke. His hair is as black as the night and his harsh expression shown that he is immoveable from his decision, like a stone.
"The goblet had already did its job. There will be no more candidates for this tournament. Besides, while we all are arguing with each others, why does our esteemed headmaster never speak even a word?" Another man in that room addressed the people in it. His words were laced with sarcasm; from the look of his eyes, it was clearly being pointed towards Professor Dumbledore.
The oldest man in the room sighed. He turns his head to look at the previous speaker. His eyes are dull, showing the weariness of the day that ha caught upon him. With a calm and firm tone, Professor Dumbledore addressed the room.
"There would not be another champion for Hogwart. The Goblet clearly made a mistake. She will not participate in this tournament, for Hogwart already have a champion. For the matter of the third champion, I would investigate fully for this inconceivable circumstances. The Goblet choose Harry not as Hogwart's champion, but a champion of another participating school."
"What do you mean by that? Are you saying that he is competing under a fourth school?" Mdm Maxime asked him.
"No, he's not. He's selected to enter as Drumstrang's second champion."
