It has been several months since Pitch had been defeated by the heroic guardians and sworn protectors of children. However, the Man in the Moon decided to reveal the newest guardian. This guardian was a special creation of his many years ago whom he sent to Earth to be closer to the children. Now the five of them surrounded the guardian stone and awaited their new ally to appear as a hologram.
"I still don't understand why we need a new guardian. We got Frost only a few months ago," Bunnymund muttered. "I hope it's a girl! Maybe it's Mother Nature!" exclaimed an enthusiastic Tooth. Sandman had sand images of possible guardians floating above his head. North and his yetis were planning the delivery of toys for Christmas which is in a few days. Jack Frost looked at the group with amusement. "Were they like this too when I was chosen?" he thought.
Then a hologram picture appeared above the gem surrounded by colorful lights. It was a girl about fourteen years in appearance with short, blonde hair tucked under a purple beanie and silver eyes that shined like the moonlight. She was wearing a faded, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and thick brown boots and she had a tattered, brown satchel on her shoulder.
The guardians were slightly confused by the new guardian. She looked like a normal human instead of a mythical figure. The only peculiar thing about her was the necklace she was wearing. It was a gold chain with a crescent moon and a gem of countless colors inside it. It looked too mysterious and mesmerizing at the same time. However, the guardians didn't question the Man in the Moon's choice.
"All right, we'll have to split up to find this girl," North ordered. "She could be anywhere."
"Well, I have to go to Burgess first. I'm supposed to make a huge snowstorm there," Jack Frost explained putting his hand through his snowy, white hair.
"Very well, but I expect you to search afterwards," North replied seriously.
"I know. What do you think I am? A child?" Jack smirked. He left his fellow comrades and soared through the cold skies. What he didn't know was that the girl they were looking for would be found in his hometown.
