At my words, the assassin turned around and pulled me close, bringing his masked face closer to mine. I felt my cheeks heat up at his close proximity, something that rarely happened when we were alone together. Normally, the ninja would keep a bit of distance between the two of us, only touching me when necessary.
"Gaige, my little love,
If I did what I wanted,
Axton would kill me."

Author's Note: Take that little haiku however you'd like. Just know that in my opinion, Axton would think of Gaige as some sort of surrogate sister or daughter.
What could Zero possibly do that would make Axton kill him, in this case? :P Relating to Zero's 'Little Love' at least.
