Intentions

Always be wary of a man who intentionally harms an animal, especially if they do so cruelly, Gyatso had always told him, for it doesn't take much for him to harm a person as well.

Aang always took Gyatso's words to heart. Throughout his life he never once did harm to anything, not if he could help it.

But as the vulture-bee's corpse fell from the sky, Aang wondered if this is what Gyatso had meant.

If it is, then he thinks Gyatso was wrong.

Because Aang doesn't see the vulture-bee's death as a cruelty.

He sees it as justice.
