It all happened too fast. In a second Regina was getting near Emma and in the next second she was at the ground and her heart was on Emma's hand.
"Now...look at that." - Emma says with a evil grin - "You don't look so evil now, don't you your majesty?" - she mocks
Regina doesn't say anything she simple get up on her feet to look at Emma straight in the eye.
"I wonder...if I were to squeeze it...would any of the "heroes" try and save you?" - she says looking at Snow and Charming that were holding on to Henry to not let him get anywhere near Emma.
"Emma don't do this. This it's not you!" - Snow says trying to get her daughter to come back to her senses
"Shut the fuck up!" - Emma shouts - "I'm sick and tired of you guys trying to convince me of what I am and what I am not."
"Snow." - Regina says firmly speaking for the first time - "Take Henry and go home. I got it from here."
"But Regina..." - Snow starts to protest
"No mom! She will hurt you!" - Henry says trying to get away from Charmings hold
"Damn it Henry! Just do what I'm saying. She wont hurt me."
"Well, well you seem so sure of that, dear. Who says I don't crush this heart of yours?" - Emma says coldly
"Because, dear, if you wanted to hurt me that badly you would have done it already." - Regina says and takes a step towards Emma - "And because even though you're now the Dark one...I still know you like the back of my hand."
"Is that so?" - Emma says laughing - "Aren't you a presumptuous one, Madam mayor."
"I assure you, Miss Swan, presumption is not a characteristic that can be delegated to me."
"Let's say it is so...still doesn't explain how you're so sure I wont hurt you."
"Because Em-ma...hurt me or crush my heart isn't what your heart truly desires...'' - Regina says getting on Emma's personal space - "You wont do what the dark say of is begging you to do because your desire to protect, to care and guard that heart is bigger and stronger. You want to be the one cherish and hold it...the whom it belongs to..."
"Stop it!" - Emma growls - "You don't know a thing!"
"It's okay. I wont try and change you. I don't need to." - Regina says smiling
"You won't?" - Emma asked confused
"There's nothing to change. Yes, you have a great amount of darkness on you right now, but that's just a small part...even though it looks bigger than what it really is."
" I don't think I'm following you..." - Emma says
"When I used to say that your parents were idiots I was being serious...they can't take away this kind of darkness, if they were to try the cycle would only repeat itself. But...how can you protect something so beautiful as the great good and light...without the darkness?"
"You're crazy. It can't be that simple." - Emma protests
"Can't it?" - Regina says taking the blonde's face on her hands - "You can be changed Emma...but we sure as hell can tame your darkness."
"How?" - the saviour said in a lapse of normalcy
"Like we solve everything in this godforsaken town...a damn True Loves kiss."
The queen doesn't gives the savior time to think things over...she knows that she's right, so she crashes her lips with Emma's and not even ten seconds later a rainbow like light is seen around them.
What either of them failed to see during all the conversation is that the whole town seemed to come out to take a look at what appeared to be the Evil Queen and the Dark One finally acting on the feelings that they all knew were there.
Later on they would explain everything for everyone, but for now they would stay on the kiss that they took so long to realise that they wanted.
