Teaspoon

The argument was heated. They'd been getting along nicely before that morning, at a crime scene. Now they were in the morgue, and Jordan looked about ready to turn her lethal-looking tools-of-the-trade on Woody, instead of the corpse in between them. He had to choose his words wisely.

"I'm sorry, I never knew you felt so strongly about it." He said defensively.

"Of course you didn't!" Jordan exclaimed. "Because you," – she jabbed her scalpel in his direction – "have the emotional range of a teaspoon!"

Woody pursed his lips together, trying, unsuccessfully, not to laugh.

"What?" Jordan demanded sharply.

"It's just that that's what Hermione says to Ron." Jordan cocked one eyebrow. "In Harry Potter, the fifth one, actually."

"You've read the Harry Potter books?"

Woody ignored her. "You know what else? Hermione also gets jealous when Ron gets a girlfriend." He said knowingly.

"You think that's what this is about?"

Woody cocked his head to one side, and grinned. "Maybe." He turned to leave. "Call me when you know the COD." He said over his shoulder.

Jordan watched his breeze out the doors. "Wait," she called after his retreating form "You still haven't told me what you were doing reading Harry Potter."

A/N: Tea-hea! It doesn't really matter what they were fighting about, 'cause I didn't feel like writing a whole argument, just this little peice here, which totally cracks me up. So, if it cracks you up to (or even if it doesn't, I don't care), take the time to write a review.
