INT. - Krusty Krabs – Day

Spongebob is flipping patties at the grill. Patrick busts through the door.

Patrick: Spongebob! Spongebob! Spongebob!

Spongebob: Patrick what's wrong!

Patrick: I found this flyer and it has mermaid man and barnacle boy on it…I think they've turned robots!

SpongeBob: OH NO Patrick we have to hel….. (SpongeBob actually reads flyer) OMG!

Patrick: See told you!

Spongebob: No Patrick! (Excitedly) holds flyer up to Patrick) The mermaid man and barnacle boy video game is coming out. Heros vs. Robots. and it's coming out today!

Patrick: Oh boy! Let's go get it right now!

SpongeBob: Patrick I can't, im at work

Patrick: Oh! Hey let's ask Squidward if he'll cover for you while you go take a break….hey squidward!

Squidward is asleep at the cash register

Patrick goes over the register

(Pokes Squidward) Hey Squidward, will you cover for SpongeBob while he takes a break?

Squidward still snoring

Patrick goes back into kitchen… "He said Yes"

Spongebob: Ok, but just for 10 mins. We can play once I get out of work

Scene fades

Scene opens to SpongeBob and Patrick leaving the video game store. Patrick is holding the brand new game.

Spongebob: Ok Patrick, im going back to work but you can hold the game until I get back and then we can play together.

Patrick: Ok, (holds up hand) I promise I won't play until you get here

Title card: 2 hours later

SpongeBob goes over to Patrick's rock and sees that Patrick has already begun playing the game. He looks mesmerized. The scene fades to a television screen and the mermaidman avatar is running into a wall. Patrick laughs with excitement.

SpongeBob (disappointed) Hey, I thought we was going to play together..

Patrick is still mesmerized.

Spongebob: Patrick

Patrick still mesmerized

Spongebob: Patrick! (SpongeBob gets very angry and shuts off the tv screen)

Patrick: Hey what you do that for?

Spongebob: Patrick do you remember what you promised me this morning?

Patrick:….. No

Spongebob: Oh yea (Spongebob pulls out a tape recorder and replays tape: "I promise to wait until you get off work to play")

Patrick: Oh no! some guy that sounds just like me is trapped inside that box! Ill save you mystery guy!

Patrick grabs tape recorder and throws it on the floor smashing It to bits

Patrick: Your free now

Spongebob (Furious) grrr! Patrick!

Spongebob grabs controller from Patrick

Patrick: Hey! Give it back! I can hold it as long as I want since I payed for it.

Spongebob: (sarcastic) Oh yea I forgot buddy, thanks for paying the extra (screams) 5 cents!

Patrick grabs controller back from spongebob.

Spongebob gets mad and now their both holding onto the controller fighting to get it. The game flys out of their hands and onto the floor. The game breaks.
