You and "You"
Stars are constantly born and die again.
You were my star, my guide through tragedy and angst.
But it came to be your time.
And my light slowly.... slowly died away.
I yearned for your return,
Your smile
Your laughter
Your uplifting spirit.
Cold nostalgia haunted me for fifteen years.
Fifteen excruciating years.
Then I found "you"
I didn't know; I couldn't know, but it was.
I willingly sacrificed my self for "you", "your" family.
I unwillingly gave "you" my power.
It was for the better, but I; we didn't know.
I loved you, but I could never reach you.
When I found "you", I didn't know it was you.
He was you, but he was different; he was his own.
I love "you" more than I ever loved you.
Is that possible?
Of course it is.
Kaien, I loved you.
But I love Ichigo, and I want to be with him.
Forever.
Hidden message: It's told from Rukia's point of view and it basically saying that when Kaien died all of her hope died out and she was lost. Lost until she finally met Ichigo, who was really the reincarnation of Kaien, but she didn't know. She fell in love with Ichigo, not because he was Kaien, but because he was his own person, which is why 'you' is Kaien and "you" is Ichigo. Does that make sense...?
That was really hard to write considering poetry isn't exactly my forte. I thought of this at around 11:00 last night and I couldn't help myself. I know I said that I only wanted to do one story at a time, but this is a sucky one-shot drabble so it doesn't count. Please tell me what you think~!
