She wandered the rotting earth stumbling she could feel her immortality fading the earth was dying and she was dying along with it. With each blast of radiation from the dying sun her body would burn as fast as it would regenerate there was no mistake she was dying this day no matter what even the power of Geass had it's limits and this was it.
"I wonder what would you think if you could see me in this pitiful state Lelouch?" She muttered as she fell to the desert floor. Her physical appearance had lost it's beauty she was covered in dirt and her once beautiful clothes were now nothing but rags. "I suppose you think this is funny my last moments? I suppose it's not too bad either is it? You'd probably say 'Come on C.C. how many people get to see how the world ends?' yeah you probably would say that." She began laugh.
"My life is so empty Lelouch I thought I could handle being alone forever but once everything on this planet died I learned what true loneliness was the truth is I don't think I can keep my promise I don't think I can die smiling." She soon lost the ability to move the wind blew her on her back. She began to stare up at the sun. In her final moments her one single thought was… Damn Lelouch if you could see this now if only you could see what I see. She then smiled his face being the last image she could picture as the sun exploded burning everything down to its molecules and even further. As his face became the last thing she would see she was finally able to keep her promise she smiled one last time.
As she began to open her eyes she found herself in a strange dark tunnel. "See Lulu I told you if we waited long enough C.C. wouldn't be far behind." A familiar cheerful voice said.
Her eyes flashed opened she couldn't believe what she was seeing she was floating in the remnants of the earth her appearance and clothes restored to their former glory and right in front of her Lelouch the first man she ever loved and Mao the man who was like a son to her. Both of them looked as cocky and arrogant as ever. "What do you want Mao a meddle?" Lelouch said smiling as he shifted his gaze towards his predecessor.
"I don't understand what is this? How are you to alive?" He was completely blown away by this.
Mao started laughing and Lelouch just smirked as he ran his hand through his hair. "We're not alive and neither are you C.C. we are all very much dead." Lelouch explained. "Though I must admit it's nice to see you confused without an idea as to what is going on it's really a nice change of pace."
C.C. just glared at Lelouch and immediately stood up. She lowered her head her hair covering her face. "I should have known you two would never change…" Her tone was one of anger evident by her fists shaking but then it quickly softened as she hugged Lelouch. "I'm so glad for that!" She shouted as she began crying uncontrollably. "I've been so alone you have no idea! I'm so happy we can see each other again! I've missed you both so much!"
"You'll never be alone again C.C. this I promise you." Lelouch tightened his arms around her.
Mao just smirked. "Not to interrupt the sob fest but Lulu if it's all the same I really don't feel like sticking around this pile of craters much longer."
Lelouch just smirked as he turned his head towards Mao. "Alright then let's get going." He then without warning picked C.C. up into his arms as the three walked into the darkness a light in the shape of a door appeared. "Where are we going Lelouch?" C.C. asked unsure of what was happening.
Lelouch looked her straight in the eyes and smiled as he carried her off "To a reunion that's long over do." As they each stepped into the light the door closed and all that was left were floating rocks and dust.
