Sorry for the lack of updates to LAL and Paralyzed. I fail. OTL
In the meantime, please enjoy this little drabble. It was inspired by page 39 of chapter 15 of Akatsuki Gakuen by RiseDarkMoon over on deviantART.

She knew he'd seen before he even arrived. It was as if the sky was crying, the freezing drops of water landing on her arms as she and Hidan hastily disentangled themselves. She looked over her shoulder, and saw the dullest of shapes slowly getting closer through the fog and the heavy downpour. When he finally came into view, her heart dropped to the vicinity of her stomach.
His vibrant hair was slick with rainwater and was molded closely to his scalp, no longer standing in carefully messy disarray. As he took measured steps towards her and Hidan, she noticed the way his shoulders had lost their proud rigidity and slackened in… what would she call that? Disappointment? Surely not defeat? He was like a god, after all, immortal and strong no matter what.
His eyes were a whole other matter. The slight purple glow seemed more angry than usual, and his brows were drawn down as he frowned.
He stopped a few meters away. She could barely hear her name as he spoke it, his lips were hardly moving. "Konan," he said softly, and in the silence that followed, she felt so unbelievably wrong as she came to a realization.
It was as if the sky was crying, because these were the tears Pain was too proud to cry himself.
