It was an early morning at Alfea when Adelaide was awoken by a call from Ms Grazelda. Adelaide was greeted by a neatly folded uniform on a desk next to her bed. She walked into the bathroom to have a shower and get dressed. She was feeling really depressed because the night before she had been very uncomftable that it was her first day at magic school tomorrow.

It had been a slow morning but Adelaide was able to make it to class on time. The quirky Professor Wizgiz welcomed the new fairies to his class. Everyone was so excited and full of energy except for Adelaide. There was a really pretty girl who really lit up the room. Her hair was a bright orange and her eyes were a sparkling blue. She wore bright clothes and a big smile. Adelaide saw two empty seats. One at the back by itself and one slap bang next to the strange girl. Adelaide has always been a bit of a loner but her instincts were telling her to sit next to the girl.

"Hi there! My name's Meeka" said the strange girl.

"Hello." Faintly mumbled Adelaide.

"Sorry sweet, can't hear you."

"Hello. My name's Adelaide."

"Well, nice to meet you" Meeka said as she offered her hand as a gesture to a handshake. Adelaide smiled for the first time in a while and shook Meeka's hand. As they were doing this Prof. Wixgiz interrupted and said "OK girls. For your first lesson I will be teaching you about metamorphasis. Metamorphasis is the ability to change into anything you want. Most of you won't be able to do it on your first try but don't worry, you'll eventually get there."

Meeka winked at Adelaide, Adelaide winked back. Adelaide felt like she had made a great friend.

"We are going to try a little exercise now. Each of concentrate on your thought about the world, what you like doing and what you wish for. Now imagine you are that person. I will then cast a spell and you will all turn into those ideal creatures."

Everyone closed their eyes and shook. When Adelaide opened her eyes she looked down. She was no longer on the ground. She looked around and everyone was a different creature. Adelaide was wondering what she had transformed into but couldn't look down without doing a flip in the air. Prof. Wizgiz saw that most girls couldn't see what they were so he fetched a mirror from outside the class room and stood it up at the front of the classroom. Adelaide was astonished as what she was.
