Hello! Now I know you all remember that certain duel at the end of battle city between Yugi and Joey where we never find out who actually won. Well here I am to answer the question :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh!
The threat was gone, the chaos was over and everyone was safe. They could all finally relax and not be worried about somebody dying. So there was no better time to take care of unfinished business.
It was finally time for Yugi to give Joey his chance to win his Red-Eyes back and prove how far he has come.
Both duelists were more than happy to have a duel just for fun and didn't have anything to do with fate and saving the world. It was just two best friends finally having the duel they always wanted.
It was a long duel to say the least, as they both admitted Yugi had taught Joey everything he knew about duel monsters and this meant he knew all of Yugi's strategies, but that didn't mean Yugi was down for the count, he always had something up his sleeve.
That didn't deter Joey from his goal though, he was ready for the fierce battle and more than excited for it. He needed to prove his worth to his best friend, besides it was about time that Red-Eyes made it back to its rightful owner.
Then after a couple of hours and countless turns later, the winner was declared. Joey had done it, he had won his Red-Eyes back and beat Yugi.

Or this is the tale of Joey being way too over confident for this duel and Yugi didn't hold back to teach him a lesson. Being the good friend that Yugi is though, Yugi gave Joey his card back knowing it was never meant to stay with him, he won it back for Joey after all. He also didn't rub it in his friend's face because that isn't Yugi's style.
They went back to Yugi's for breakfast and spent the rest of the day with their friends.
Yeah, I have no confidence that Joey won that duel at all, I mean if you think about it Kaiba is Yugi's greatest rival, Kaiba is the one that Yugi has by far the longest duels with in the show and Joey can't beat him, so I don't see him being able to beat Yugi. I expect him to hold his own and such, but beating him is too unrealistic for me personally. And I know Joey has his Red-Eyes back in season 4, but I think it went more like Joey lost and Yugi gave it back anyways like he originally planned to in the beginning of season 2. So yeah, you can believe what you wish, but for me, I do not see Joey winning this. R&R plz :)
