Wow, it has officially been forever since I've made a fanfiction. It feels really odd doing this again, so forgive any mistakes. This is going to sound really babyish, but this is a My Little Pony Friendship is Magic fanfiction. Please review this; it would really help the future chapters.
Disclaimer: I do not own this My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, only my original characters.
(OC's POV)
I'm walking down the path behind my sister, Diamond Dark, with my head down. It has been a very hard day, and I don't feel like talking to anyone.
"Hurry up, slowpoke, Mother and Father haven't got all day!" Diamond yells at me. I wish I could show her how mean she is, but I'm not that kind of pony. I feel a cold breeze blowing against me, so I look up. Diamond is flying above me with her dark navy mane flowing in her breeze. I bite my lip and stare with envy at her jeweled wings. "Are you deaf? Let's fly. Oh wait, you can't," she snickers. As much as I hate to admit it, Diamond's right. I look at my scrawny, plain wings and cry. As fate should have it, Diamond sees my tears. "Well look at the little baby. Does she need a bottle?" That's the last straw. I run home as fast as possible, slam the door shut, and cry.
"Is everything okay, sweetie? Another rough day?" Mom asks with concern. I don't even bother to reply; she knows exactly why I'm crying. I turn my head to look at my awful wings. Mom notices and gives me a look of compassion and understanding. "Aunt Twilight is coming to visit. Maybe she can help."
I shake my head. "Not even Aunt Twilight can help. She has the gift of magic, you have the gift of love, Dad has the gift of protection, Aunt Celestia possesses the gift of the sun, Aunt Luna carries the gift of the moon, and Diamond has the gift of darkness. I have no gift at all."
"Royal Magic, you do have a gift, you just need to have faith in yourself." I spin around and practically tackle Dad. He laughs and stands up. It's then that I notice Diamond stranding in the doorway.
"Mother, Father, I'm going out. I'll have my ladies-in-waiting with me, so you won't need to go with me or worry," she says coldly. Then she turns and leaves the room. I wish she could see how mean she is to everypony.
I'm sitting in my room with my door locked. I just finished a huge homework assignment and am taking a brain-break. "How can someone so wise and true be so blind to what's in front of you? Painful passions, harmful hearts, all will tear this girl apart. How, oh how, can someone so wise and true be so blind to the world we knew?" I sing almost silently. A knock at my door ends my song, and Lady Rarity, my aunt's lady-in-waiting, enters my room. "Hello, Lady Rarity; do you need something?" I ask politely. She nods.
"Princess, something's happened back in Ponyville. Princess Twilight needs you at once." I'm in shock; no one ever wants me, let alone needs me.
"Lady Rarity, are you sure it's me Aunt Twilight needs? Surely she needs Diamond instead." Lady Rarity shakes her head and points to me. Wow, someone really does want me. I talk to my parents, and the next thing I know, I'm on a train to Ponyville with Lady Rarity. I wave goodbye to my parents as the arctic wind blows snow between us. An expected chill, which is not from the cold, courses through my body. Something tells me I'll never see this place or my family again.
Again, this is my first fanfiction in a while, so sorry for any mistakes. Reviews might help with correcting process. Thanks!
