Thunder boomed over head, mixing with the yells of eight demigods. "SKYLER!" Percy yelled as he searched with his girlfriend, Annabeth. Nearby, Leo and Piper were digging under rubble from the battle looking or any signs of the missing demigod. Frank flew over head in the form of a hawk, eyeing the ground carefully, trying to find the young missing girl. Hazel and Nico rode by on Arion, finding no signs of the girl that they once called friend. Jason searched ahead of the group, trying to find anything that could help the small group. Suddenly, Annabeth starts running toward a small white lump and yells "I found her!".
The small group follows quickly behind her as it slowly began to rain onto them; making the stone rubble slippery and causing Piper to slip a few times before they finally reach the small body. The girl's charcoal black hair covered her closed eyes, cuts covering her arms and legs and the white chition clung to her limp body as the rain fell. Percy falls to his knees and pulls her body into his arms. The small girl's eyes open a bit, revealing her light blue eyes which stare sadly into Percy's sea green eyes. She lifts her soft bloody hand and rubs her thumb across his cheek, causing a tear to fall out of the corner of his eye. The little girl smiles softly up at him and whispers "I'll miss you, Percy" making Percy quickly shake his head "No you're going to be just fine, Skyler". Percy picks Skyler up making her groan out in pain and closes her eyes quickly. Annabeth places her hand on Percy's shoulder "Percy….." and he looks over his shoulder to stare into her stormy grey eyes then looks around at the small gang.
Hazel and Frank look at him with small sad smiles along with Jason and Piper. Leo is holding his hand out with a small fire burning in his hand to light up the night and Nico is standing nearby, looking at the ground. Percy looks back down at girl in his arms, noticing that she's not moving or breathing and understands that she's gone. After all the things that have happened to the small group, when they found Nico in Gaea's hide-out the found Skyler, a daughter of Poseidon who had been hiding away from the gods and goddesses for many years before Gaea caught her. They saved her along with Nico, who had become best friends with the young girl.
Percy finally nods and the group walks together back to camp, when they enter camp, Romans and Greeks alike come out of their tents, hoping to see their heroes return and rejoice that the giant war is over but, the campers stop when they notice the black haired girl in Percy's arms. The small group split up and go off to their tents except for Percy and Annabeth. Percy slips into a small dark tent and lays the dead body onto the soft bed then stares down at it for a minute or two before leaving the tent. When he steps out a beautiful blonde girl with stormy grey eyes waits for him. He stops and she steps forward and hugs him tightly, burying her head into his chest as he hugs back and whispers into her ear "Everything is going to be alright". That night an older son of Apollo steps out with a bugle in his hand and everyone listens as he sounds the bugle.
