(After she Foreman tells her why House says he hired him, she asks House why he hired her):
House: "The only thing that matters is what you think. Can you do the job?
Cameron: You hired a black guy because he had a juvenile record.
House: "No, it wasn't a racial thing, I didn't see a black guy. I just saw a doctor with a juvenile record. I hired Chase 'cause his dad made a phone call. I hired you because
Cameron watched him curiously, "Because?" she asked softly
The usually calm doctor stood there, fiddling with his cane and avoiding eye contact, and mumbled an incoherent answer in her direction
Alison sighed, "Why Greg? Why did you hire me? There were people in that interview much more qualified than me, even I admit that, so why?" she asked softly, trying to get her answer
Greg sighed, "I can't tell you" he said gently but with a slight snap to his voice
Cameron nodded, and stepped forward, invading his personal space and pressing herself up against him, glad that the blinds were all closed, "You can tell me Greg, who knows, maybe it will work out for the best?" she offered with a teasing smile, and a lingering kiss upon his lips
House watched her and wrapped his arms around her, extending the kiss, and making her gasp for air afterwards, he smirked, "Because … I .. love you" he whispered before kissing her with more passion than ever before
Alison smiled happily and kissed him back, happy to be in his arms, "I love you too"
House kissed her again, but softly and lovingly this time
Cameron smiled at him, "Was that the only reason?"
Greg shook his head and said in his usual manner, "Nope... You have a great ass too"
She shook her head and just laughed, they loved each other for who they were and that was all that mattered.
