In the shopping district of Mistral, 2 males were doing some, you guessed it, shopping. These 2 males were Qrow Branwen and Oscar Pine. While Qrow was busy browsing through the alcohol section, Oscar was looking for more practical groceries, such as food and water. Eventually, Oscar came across the Coffee section, he soon found himself at a bag of coffee beans labelled "Mistal's Finest". This caught the attention of a certain Wizard.
"I know this brand. I had it once a few years back. Best brew of Coffee I've ever tasted. Too bad it's only sold in Mistral" The voice inside Oscar's head, Ozpin, said.
Oscar then noticed the price tag.
"It's a bit expensive, don't you think?" Oscar asked the voice.
"That's how you know it's good."
Oscar sighed and put the bag of beans into his shopping bag.
"OK, what else do we need?" Oscar quietly asked himself.
"I'd suggest some fruits and vegetables. They're essential for the body."
"I know that. Back home, I'd get punished if I didn't eat all my vegetables." Oscar responded.
"You should have been. Like I said, they're essential for the body."
"Oum, I feel like I'm talking to my aunt."
"Like it or not, you are my newest incarnation, so I need to make sure your body is in working order."
While Oscar was putting some of the fruits and vegetables in his bag, the other male, Qrow, came up to him.
"Hey Oscar, I need a favor." Qrow said.
Oscar gave the the older man a strange look.
"What kind of favor?" He skeptically asked.
"Um, long story short, I need you to pretend to be my son for a bit." Qrow quickly said.
"What?"
"Just for a few minutes. I was chatting this really hot shopper named Carmon, and it turns out she's a single mother, and without thinking, I say "Hey, as it happens, I'm shopping with my son" and well, here I am."
Ozpin chuckled inside Oscar's head.
"Ah, Qrow. I hope you never change." Ozpin said in a nostalgic tone.
"I don't know..." Oscar said.
Qrow looked around for something, and quickly grabbed a bag of candy.
"If you help me, I'll buy you some candy."
"I am not a kid! You can't bribe me with candy."
"Please Oscar! She is really hot. I will get down on my knees right now and beg you if that's what it takes."
Oscar noticed that Qrow was really desperate. "How long will this take?"
"Not too long. Just stick around long enough for Carmon to think you're adorable." Qrow answered.
"And if she think I'm not adorable?"
"Kid, have you looked in the mirror lately? You're adorable personified."
"Umm, Thanks?" Oscar said, a bit creeped out now.
"So you'll help?" Qrow hopefully asked.
Oscar hesitantly nodded his head.
Qrow quickly grabbed Oscars wrist and dragged him down the district.
Qrow and Oscar were leaving towards their current Home stay, with Qrow being successful in obtaining Carmon's number and planning to call her when they got back.
"It was weird having to call you dad." Oscar said.
"Come on, you'd be lucky to have a me as a dad." Qrow laughed, putting a hand on the young boy's shoulder.
Oscar sighed.
"You sigh a lot, you know that right?" Ozpin asked.
"Please, just be quiet, just for a few minutes." Oscar Pleaded.
"Oh wait, the raffle." Qrow suddenly said.
"What?"
Qrow dug through one of his pockets, eventually bringing out a ticked with the numbers 308 on it.
"I bought a raffle ticket, and if I win, I get some extremely rare dust."
Qrow went in another direction, with Oscar following him.
They 2 of them eventually came up to a large crowd of people, all gathered in front of a stage. On the stage was man standing next to a table with something on it. Oscar couldn't tell what it was due to it being covered by a piece of cloth, but he figured it was the dust Qrow was talking about.
"OK EVERYONE! THE RAFFLE WILL BE STARTING NOW!" The man on the stage shouted. "AND THE WINNER IS-" The man brought out a piece of paper. "-308! IF YOU HAVE THE WINNING TICKET, PLEASE COME OUT!"
"Yes!" Qrow exclaimed, making his way to the stage.
"Congratulations Sir." The man on the stage said. "Here is your prize."
The man took the blanket off of the table to reveal a couple of vials containing powdered white dust.
Qrow picked up the dust and put them in his pocket. When he left the stage, he noticed that he was receiving envious glares.
"Yeah, that's right. I won. Deal with it." Qrow taunted the crowd.
"Come on Qrow, I'm getting tired." Oscar said.
As Oscar and Qrow were walking, Qrow took out one of the vials and inspected it. Oscar noticed this, and got curious about the dust.
"So, what does it do?" Oscar asked.
"Don't know." Was Qrow's response.
In the morning, Oscar was trying to brew the coffee per Ozpin's request.
"I don't think this is how it's supposed to go." Oscar said.
"Trust me, I've been brewing coffee long before you were born." Ozpin responded.
"If you say so."
Oscar finished brewing the coffee, and poured it's contents into several mugs, and bringing said mugs into the living room.
Oscar set down the tray of mugs on the table. When he sat down to relax, he noticed a familiar vial.
"Hey, isn't that one of the vials of dust Qrow won yesterday?" Oscar asked.
"It appears so."
Oscar waved his hand. "Forget it. Right now, I just want to relax." He said as he took a sip of coffee.
Unfortunately, Oscar could barely swallow it.
"Ah, this is horrible." He complained.
"Of course, you drank it without any cream or sugar." Ozpin said
"Then I'll get some cream." Oscar said, standing back and going to the kitchen.
But just as he left, Nora Valkyrie came in.
"Ooh, Coffee." She said.
Nora looked around to see if anyone was around, finding no one. It was an unwritten rule that, due to her hyper active personality, Nora was not allowed to have coffee.
The red-head tip toed dramatically towards the table and took a sip out of one of the mugs, the mug that was Oscar's.
"Yuck, needs sugar." She said. She then noticed the vial of dust. "Here we go." She picked up the vial, mistaking the white dust for sugar, and poured all of it in, but before she could drink, she then remembered something.
"I forgot to wash my hands!" Nora exclaimed, rushing towards the bathroom. And just as she left, Oscar came back.
"I forgot that we were out of sugar. We should have gotten some yesterday."
Oscar sat back down and poured some cream into his coffee.
"Are you sure this will make it taste better?" Oscar asked.
"Of course." Ozpin replied.
Oscar nodded, and downed the whole cup. He was surprised to find how sweet it was, ignorant that the cause of said sweetness was in fact the white dust Nora poured in.
When Nora finally returned to the living room, she noticed that Oscar was drinking her coffee.
"Hey! You're drinking my coffee!" Nora yelled.
"What? This is my coffee!" Oscar argued.
"No it's not. I distinctly remember pouring sugar in that cup."
"Nora, we don't have any sugar."
"Yeah we do. It was on the table."
"Where?" Oscar asked.
Nora pointed to the empty bottle of dust. Oscar's eyes widened at the realization that he drank dust infused coffee.
"Nora, that wasn't sugar!" Oscar exclaimed.
"Then what was it?" Nora asked.
"It was dust that Qrow won yesterday."
Suddenly, the rest of the residents entered the living room.
"Hey, what's all the racket? I'm trying to sleep." Qrow complained.
"Nora poured dust into my coffee! I drank dust!" Oscar panicked. Qrow wasn't sleepy anymore.
"OK, the both of you, tell me what happened." Qrow said in a quiet tone, trying to calm down Oscar.
Oscar started. "Well, when I tried the coffee, it didn't taste so good. So I went into the kitchen to get some cream. When I came back, I poured the cream into my coffee and started drinking. When I finished it, Nora came in and told me she poured your dust into my coffee."
"Why?" Qrow questioned.
"I thought it was sugar." Nora explained.
"Nora, you aren't allowed to have coffee." Ren reminded her.
"Come on Ren. I just wanted a sip."
"OK enough! I'm taking Oscar to a doctor to see if there's anything wrong with him. In the meantime, just be careful." Qrow said, grabbing Oscar's hand and taking him outside.
There was an awkward silence for a few moments, until Yang tried tried to lighten the mood.
"If Ozpin dies again, I'm blaming Nora." She said.
"Me too." Ruby responded.
"Come on guys! He's not gonna die. He's too cute to die." Nora said.
"What?" Weiss asked.
Nora realized what she just said.
"Did you just say he was cute?" Jaune asked.
"Uh..." Nora didn't answer. Instead she ran outside to avoid the others.
"Well, she's not wrong." Yang thought.
