Sakura sat on her boyfriend's lap, facing him and straddling him innocently. She gave him a small, happy smile and handed him a small box.

"Happy Valentines Day, Sasuke."
"Is it?"

He took the box from her with a chuckle while she shook her head.

"You only don't know because we haven't gone outside all day. Your fangirls are probably in a fit of deep depression because they can't shower you with things you can't stand."

He laughed and kissed her lips lightly, pulling back to look down at the small box.

"You know, You didn't have to."
"I know. But you're not really one to talk. You get me random presents all the time when there's no special occasion. This is merely payback."
"Hm, I see."

He looked inside to pull out a chain with two dog tags on it, one of his name, and one of Itachi's. He looked up to her with a soft expression.

"Sakura..."

She shrugged and looked away from his practically dancing eyes, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"Well, I thought you'd like it. Besides, you don't really have many physical things to remember him by...so..."

Sasuke leaned up slightly to lock lips with her, turning her head to be able to do so. He caressed her cheek with the pad of his thumb, and pulled back after a short, chaste kiss.

"Thank you, Sakura. It's perfect."
"Mm."

She knew it was pointless to deny that she was blushing, so she grabbed the necklace and put it on him.

"You're welcome, Sasuke-kun."

He smiled at the affectionate suffix and carried her in his arms to their bedroom, laying her down gently on the mattress. When she gave him a questioning look, he merely smirked and pulled a box out from the drawer of the nightstand.

"Well, I figured this would be romantic."

She still looked confused, until she laid eyes on the box and looked back up to see him smiling down at her gently. He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers so that his breath washed over her own lips. He slid the ring onto her finger and looked her in the eyes.

"Sakura Haruno, will you marry me?"
"Oh god, Sasuke!"
"If you say no, I'm going to cry myself to sleep for the rest of my life."

She jumped up and crushed him in a passionate kiss and a tight hug, her arms wrapping securely around his neck.

"Yes, Yes, Yes!"

Sasuke laughed and nuzzled her affectionately.

"I love you."
"I love you too, Sasuke-kun. Even though you're a hopeless romantic at heart and you're going to drive me senile before I'm thirty."
"Hey, I am not hopeless, thank you."

Both smiled and kissed again, Sasuke leaning down to let his body rest gently on hers.

"And you can be a real bastard sometimes."
"...Do people normally call their fiance's bastards right after they propose?"

He tilted his head to the side and gave her a sly smile, and she resisted the urge to giggle.

"Probably just me. But I wouldn't have you any other way."
"Good."

He grinned at his lover and blinked once.

"You realize you're going to have to protect me from Tsunade now, darling."
