"What would I do without you?" Ron asked Hermione.

"You'd date a tall hot blonde." His girlfriend answered with a sweet voice.

"Seriously, Hermione. Don't even joke about that."

It was a few weeks after the Battle and everything was back to normal. Hermione and Ron were sitting in the back porch. It was a beautiful, quiet evening. There was a fresh breeze and Hermione sat in Ron's lap and he hugged her tight from behind. She let her head fell on his shoulder and he hugged her even tighter, as if she would disappear every moment.

"I need to breathe, you know."

"Sorry." he said as he loosened up his strong grip on her. "I don't want you to catch a cold. Although I'd like the idea of me baby-sitting you, while you're sick."

"Oh, that's so sweet of you, Ron." she said sarcastically and poked him playful with her elbow into the ribs.

Ron grinned and whispered into her ear:

"You love me that way."
Hermione turned around, so she could face him. Ron thought once again how truly beautiful his girlfriend was, the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She could put a whole bunch of veelas into the dark.

"Overprotective, permanently clueless, jealous?" Hermione asked with a smirk.

"Yeah."

With that, he put his hand behind her neck and kissed her. The kiss grew immediately more eager and Ron put his hands on her waist and embraced her tightly, so he could deepen it. Hermione put one hand in his hair and the other one behind his neck. They both moaned quietly as their tongues touched. This was the best feeling in the world. Neither of them wanted it to end. The innocent kiss had become so passionate and lustful, that they were quickly out of breath, but neither one of them wanted to stop and let go of the other.

Kissing Hermione was the best thing in the world Ron could think of. Even better than food and Quditch. Her lips were always so soft and inviting. She tasted incredibly, so sweet. He could never have enough of it. The way she smelled, the way she was kissing him - with passion and shyness at the same time, the way she was watching him - with eyes full of love. Merlin, he loved this girl with his whole being.

He was just about to lie on top of her, as they heard Mrs. Weasley calling them for dinner. They separated each other with reluctance and Ron said:

"Why is it this woman always destroys the fun?" he said as he helped his girlfriend stand up.

They rushed back to the house, laughing and holding hands.
