Kitty bounced in tune to the rocking music as she skated backwards, gesturing for Ororo to join her. Dressed in pink, purple, and blue, she was the perpetual image of young and joyful energy. When 'Ro hesitated, Kitty skated closer, grasped her hands, and tugged gently at her. "Come on, 'Ro! Dance with me!"
"All right, Kitten," Ororo relented at last with a light laugh. "I shall dance with you."
Kitty grinned as she skated faster backwards, pulling her beloved along with her. "GROOVY!" she shouted over the music, and then she started to sing aloud. "We're gonna rock down to Electric Avenue . . . "
" . . . and then we'll take it higher," Ororo joined in. Fog surrounded them. She carried them high on gentle winds and then pulled her surprised Kitten closer to her.
Kitty pointed down at the humans. "They're so gonna freak!"
"They can not yet see us." The glittering fog swirled around them. "Besides, it was worth it to see your face," Ororo admitted. She wrapped her arms around her beloved Kitten and pulled her close. She kissed her, and they danced on air, their arms, lips, and bodies entwined passionately and their hearts and souls joined forever more.
The End
