The bright shining moon was all he could see.

The trees' Autumn leafs came into view as the light of the moon toned down.

He sat up gasping, he looked around him. He was in a cemetery. But why? Was he dead?He rubbed the back of his neck, yelping as he felt stitches. He felt all around his neck. So he was dead.

His neck had been completely chopped off...

He felt his face. He had stitches of his right cheek as well. And on his right Pinkie and his left wrist. He walked over to a nearby puddle. He was surprised to see a man with midnight blue hair, golden eyes and pale skin. He saw an ugly scar.

He looked away from the sight, choosing instead to examine his clothing. He wore a tights and a tunic with a chest plate. He was going to walk away from the puddle when he almost tripped over a gnarled stick that split up on the top, that seemed to have something in it. Inside was a bright orange stone, glowing brightly. Picking it up he twirled it, startled when it shot out a bright orange, and where it hit, a pumpkin grew. he was shocked, 'was it magical? It must be!' He thought, almost doubting what he just saw.

He looked moon... It... comforted him somehow... "You are Jack Skellington," he heard something whisper. He nervously held his staff wand thing. "I...I am Jack Skellington..." He nodded. The name seemed right to him. "Hello." He turned quickly . He saw man, standing near a tree. He was gray, or maybe just very pale, his hair, slicked back, and his eyes! His eyes seemed to glow an unearthly yellow as he stared into them. The man spoke, "I am Pitch Black."

"Maybe they're smelling your OWN fear, Pitch." Jack said. Pitch's eyes widened as the Nightmares started lunged at him. A black blur swooped in just then, Pitch disappearing along with it.

Tooth gasped, "Where did he go?!" Everyone else was confused, with various added emotions.

"What the bloody hell?!"

"That was unexpected"

"WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"D:"

"Let me DOWN!" Pitch yelled, a black cloaked figure was flying over the forest with Pitch over his shoulder.

"Fine."

The figure dropped him, Pitch screaming profanities as he was falling. "I DIDNT MEAN IT THAT WAY!"

The figure sighed and swooped down just in time, only a few inches from the ground.

"How the hell did you find me Jack."

"Who the fuck else would do this kind of shit?!" Jack pulled off his hood.

"I wanted to be believed in! And I know you wanted to be believed in too!"

"But like this?! Basically killing off the guardians?! What the fuck were you thinking dad?!"

Pitch glared at him. "I was thinking that maybe you would appreciate this! MiM knows how badly you wished to be believed in! We could have ruled together!"

Jack shook his head, "No. No, not like this, I mean yea, scaring people is my thing, but killing spirits to be noticed?! That's just wrong on so many levels! That's just hitting rock bottom!" He started pacing, "How the hell could you be so stupid?!"

"Don't you DARE call me stupid you little brat!" Pitch snarled.

"Fine what you DID was stupid!" Jack huffed.

For a minute they glared at each other, just waiting for the other to back down. Finally, Pitch looked down.

"Alright, what i did seemed a bit... reckless-"

"RECKLESS?!" Jack yelled,

"Alright, stupid! Fine, are you happy now brat?"

Jack, still glaring, huffed, "Not one bit. I still cannot believe you! Ugh," Jack rubbed his face in aggravation, "Just... look, I get it, you want us to be believed in... Just... don't do it like this... You almost DIED ... I cant bear to watch that happen..."

Pitch looked down.

"Just promise you wont do it again?"

"...Promise..."
