Ch1: A Lucky Shot
It was U.C. 0085 Zeon was still fighting the War of Independence from the Earth Federation. It was the third battle I was assigned to.
I was so anxious, for the night before Matilda Ajan told that if I made it back she would go on a date with me. I was filled with confidence, there was no way I was going to die there, not without dating I was confident in my skills and in my experience from my last two battles.
I saw Amuro depart on his Gundam, and a couple more units also departed.
It had to be me...trapped in a Mobile Suit that wasn't working. Suddenly one of the enemy mobile suits approached me, it was one of the Zaku models, it pointed at me with it's was it, I quickly realized and accepted it without regret...
I closed my eyes and heard the blast. I felt the impulse and hit my head with the back of my seat.
I don't know how much time I spent unconscious but when i came back to my senses and recovered from my dizziness I realized I wasn't dead...
Somehow this useless scrap of metal had saved me and it was intact from the impact yet it still wasn't moving...so I named him in honor of Amuro's mobile suit...Useless...Useless Gundam.
After travelling without a sense of direction for quite a long time, almost an entire day, I landed in Colony 49. It took a while before someone noticed me, they thought the cockpit was empty and that it was just a defective model that had crashed there.
Suddenly a man who was walking by was curious enough to get close to Mobile Suit.
-"Hey is someone there? Can you hear me?!" said the man from the outside, I heard him loud and clear yet I wasn't able to answer since the speakers weren't working. Guess it had to do with something about Useless being in development stages.
-"Someone help! I believe there is someone here!" said the man while calling the attention of the officers nearby.
The officers brought some metal bars, pulled the cockpit's door and took me out.
-"Let me speak to the General...I have important news" I said... and fell to the ground, I was exhausted and after spending a long time at space I forgot how Gravity felt.
-"Kasami Yamato, it seems you have awaken, you have a visit" I heard in a female tone.
She was a nurse by the look of her outfit, it seemed I was brought to the Infirmary.
Then someone came in, to my surpirse it was Officer Ajan, she seated by my side and said: "Well what a surprise, I thought you where dead! I'm so glad to see that you're alright, I seems that after all we'll have to go on a date, don't we Kasami?"
