Chapter 1: A Tender Moment.

Will led Elizabeth to the lower deck of the Interceptor. They were sitting now across from each other.

"What kind of man trades his life for a ship," Elizabeth commented as she tried to bandage her hand.

"Pirate," Will said simply, "Here let me."

He gently grabbed her hand, and she shuddered at his touch. Elizabeth gave her thanks as she enjoyed the warmth of Will's hand in hers. Her thoughts were in turmoil, and those thoughts that she had once thought disappeared were coming back to the surface. Her insides started to do back flips; she felt like she could not breathe, like if she was in a corset, but this certainly was a good feeling. However, Elizabeth knew she could not show any nervousness around Will, though she could not stop staring at those brown chocolate hazel eyes that seemed to express the same feelings she was experiencing..

Elizabeth was so lost in her thoughts that she barely heard Will say, "You said you gave Barbossa my name, why? She stuttered and lied right her through teeth, avoiding his eyes, "I don't know."

Suddenly, a rough yet smooth hand found a soft spot on Elizabeth's arm; she jolted from head to toe at this touch. Will however took this by the fact that his hand hands were just rough, "Blacksmith hands I know they are rough." Elizabeth searched for word, "Yes. Yes. They are.

The eyes of Will darted up to hers then showing the passion that burned inside of him, and with a pull on the knot, Will finished bandaging Elizabeth's hand.

He gave her hand one last caress about ready to pull away, when she upset restrained him. She muttered, "Don't stop."

Their eyes once again locked instantly, and they were attempting to express a love that was so yearning to escape the confines of its prison. Their faces moved within inches from each other with Will whispering, "Elizabeth!"

Then, with any conscience thought, his hand moved up her face caressing her right cheek; the taste of his breath was fresh on her lips. It smelt like fresh lilies in a meadow caught in the morning breeze.

Will's other hand casually stroked Elizabeth's hair, and she had to force herself from letting out a moan. Elizabeth thought, "Gosh, Kiss me Will! Please kiss me!" She inched a little closer, breathing heavily.

However, Will's fingers started to move down her neckline finally finding the medallion He asked, "What is this?"

Elizabeth said in reply closing her eyes, regretting the loss of his touch, "It's yours."

He grabbed the medallion, and instantly, Will transformed into a new man, one who possessed fire in his eyes and a look that could kill. He raised his voice, "Why did you take it?"

Tears welled up in Lizzy's eyes, "Because I thought you were a pirate that would have been awful."

"It was not your blood they needed. It was my father's blood, my blood. Feelings of embarrassment and rage started to boil to the surface. "How could this woman ever look on him as an honorable man again????

A tear fell down Elizabeth's cheek as she said, "I am so sorry Will please forgive me. He pounded his fist on the table, and as a result she got up and left awkwardly.
