Alright you guys. I got over my writer's block so I'm going to write a (drum roll please) TOKYO MEW MEW STORY!!! Sorry. I'm hopelessly obsessed.

Missing

Renee left a note on the bench in the changing room. It said,

Dear friends,

I'm sorry but I must, move on. I don't have time for any crime-fighting, or working at this café. I'm sorry. I know you guys will do better without me.

-Renee

Please, please forgive me
But I won't be home again
Maybe someday you'll look up
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
"Isn't something missing?"

You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

She knew they wouldn't care. At first she was worried about Corina until she found out that Corina liked some other singer. Renee looked around the café and placed a box holding her café uniform and power pendant next to the note. She decided she better hurry before anyone else gets here.

Even though I'm the sacrifice
You won't try for me, not now
Though I'd die to know you love me
I'm all alone
Isn't someone missing me?

Renee quickly left and walked to her house. She looked at the time.

"Son of a Mew Mew, I'm late!" She said hurrying to get everything together for her photo shoot. She finished combing her purple hair and rushed downstairs. She ran out the door and was glad that a limo pulled up. She quickly got in and it sped off to avoid being late.

Please, please forgive me
But I won't be home again
I know what you do to yourself
I breathe deep and cry out
"Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?"

Renee was at her house. She looked at the clock. 1:00 in the morning. She didn't have a message on her phone so she figured she was right. They didn't care about her at all. In her mind questions buzzed through her head. But one kept repeating. 'Isn't some one missing me?' At the photo shoot she had to put up a front, but you could see her pain just below the surface.

Even though I'm the sacrifice
You won't try for me, not now
Though I'd die to know you love me
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?

She was right. She was alone. She wanted to rush to the café and have fun like before, with her friends, but she couldn't. She had work to do. She was a slave. A slave, to popularity. Everyone loved her work so she had to keep working.

And if I bleed, I'll bleed
Knowing you don't care
And if I sleep just to dream of you
I'll wake without you there
Isn't something missing?
Isn't something...

Renee fell into a light sleep. She dreamt of having fun with her friends at the beach. She awoke quickly and reached for the phone, but pulled her hand back. She couldn't call them ever again. It'd be just too painful.

Even though I'm the sacrifice
You won't try for me, not now
Though I'd die to know you love me
I'm all alone
Isn't something missing?

She fell asleep and didn't have a dream at all. She got up and got ready for a fashion show rehearsal downtown. She walked out the door, miserable. One question rung through her head;

Isn't someone missing me?
