Castle and Beckett had been dating for over 3 months before Josh showed up at the 12th saying that he would win her back.

Josh didn't realize that Castle had stolen Beckett's heart the first time when he wrote his first Derrick Storm book. Beckett didn't let Josh know that he wasn't her knight in shining armour.

Josh come close and kissed Beckett on the lips. This shocked her.

'He doesn't have the right to kiss me, she thought'

'W-What was that, Josh?!'

'That was a kiss, Kate. Thought you were-are still single, aren't you?'

Castle had enough watching the scene in the distance. The lift opened and he took that as his cue to go in.

'Just the right timing as usual, he thought.

As the lift doors were closing, Beckett looked into it and saw him standing there with an angry and jealous expression. Josh looked at the lift and back to her as he grinned like a fool. No one even him realised that Beckett accidentally called Javi.

'Look, Josh! You can't just come here and kiss me in my work place! For your information, I'm with a great guy who treats me like a princess 'as he puts it'

She smiled at that.

'Is that silly writer isn't it?'

Javi walked out of the lift to hear Josh saying something and Beckett wasn't taking any of it from Josh.

Beckett slapped him on the face. He looked at her, he stepped forward and put his hand up to hit her. Javi laughed at him as she whipped him down onto the floor.

'Javi, come on , seriously. All you did was stand there and took a video?'

Javi grinned at her.

'You did fine without my help, Beckett. I'm going to send this to Castle and Ryan!'

she rolled her eyes at him.

Two days later, Beckett had an off day so she decided to visit her favourite writer and boyfriend, Rick Castle. She knocked on his door and Castle opened the door with only his boxers on. It made her blush so quickly, that he grinned for a while.

'Wow, my every wish came true!'

Castle giggled as he pulled the door open widely to let Beckett come in.

'So, what brings Detective Beckett to my loft on Christmas?'

She rolled her eyes as she smiled at him.

'Can't your girlfriend just come over to your loft?'

'Huh… She can as long as she is still mine'

He grinned as he walked towards her. She laughed so hard that he had to hold on to her.

'Cast-Rick we need to talk'

'Yeah, sure'

They went to his office, he sat down on the chair and Castle let Beckett sit on his lap.

'I know, two days ago, he came into the 12th and kissed me. But I kicked his ass after he called you silly.'

He giggled and lifted his head to face her. He kissed her on the lips but it was short one.

'Glad you kicked his ass although you didn't have to.'

'No one, not even him can call you silly, Rick. You are the most loving, caring, romantic boyfriend I have ever known and that makes this a special Christmas.'

Castle looked confused.

'Special Christmas?'

'Yes because I was always wanted to propose to you, Rick.'

'Thought that was my job, Kate.'

She giggled.

'Not today… Today I'm proposing to you…'

Beckett took a deep breath.

Mr Rick Castle, you are my whole life. Will you make me the happiest woman on earth by becoming my husband?'
