This is my own spin on what was said during the final minutes of sinking to the bottom. Between Sara and Gaito.
My Mermaid
"Nanairo no kaze ni fukarete tooi misaki wo mezashiteta..." Sara began to sing and walk towards Gaito.
"Sara, why?" Gaito looked to her and was truly confused as to why she would come back. Espeically considering they were sinking to the bottom of the sea.
"I couldn't leave you, Gaito. You have to know that." Sara said this as if it were the most simple of things in the world.
"But why, my mermaid? I have caused you hate, fear, and anger."
Sara simply smiled. She moved toward Gaito and sat on the edge of his couch. Gently, she placed a hand on his shoulder.
Gaito turned and positioned himself to where he could easily lay on Sara's lap. He knew that she enjoyed being called his mermaid.
"Gaito, you were also my only companion these years. My hate turned to pity, which has long since melted into love for you. I came back to you to share this fate too, my love." Sara explained to the still confused Gaito.
"But Taro..." Gaito began, but Sara merely sushed him by placing a finger to his lips.
"Peace now, my love. Peace."
"My mermaid. My love. I'm so glad you came home to me." A peaceful smile washed over Gaito's face.
A smile appeared on Sara's face as she smiled down to Gaito.
Gaito learned to love. He loved his mermaid very much.
"You were never alone, brother." Kaito sight and swam away with the other six mermaid princesses.
